Everett looked at the melting trees with disinterest. He turned to look back at his carving, to his surprise the dragon stuck his face into his. The elf acted react would not back down from a challenge, and he stuck his face back. They were nearly inches away from each other, but he did not fear the dragon. If the man was a Rider, then he would not have to worry about his life. The elf revealed his teeth and growled; clearly mocking the dragon and their animistic way. "I'll be danged. You must share the intelligence of your tiny lizard cousins. What made you think I could recognize any and every single Elder Council Member on the spot and even then If I'm bothered when really all I want is to get some dang sleep I should have the right to be disrespectful." He shot back at the dragon. There was no man or creature Everett would not share ill intended words with.
The elf then turned to face the old man changing his glare into a grin. He held out his arm. "I'm sorry about that. I'm very tired at the moment." Which should of been a sufficient reason. "Its a pleasure to meet you sir, unfortunately I cannot say the same about the drunkard. He reeks of hell." The elf knew how to be respectful, after all he was the first son of a very prestigious elven family. Granted he was obviously not showing his outermost respect for the man ."Out of curiosity what would a man of your importance be doing here?"Hell he could say the same about Agate, and the drunkard. Maybe the important part but never the less. He at least knew why he was in the mountains.

Aldos gave a shrug. "I'm going to the capital to visit my family. I haven't seen them in years. My mother is sick and......well, they don't expect her to stay among the living for much longer, so I wanted to go home and see her one last time before she passed. I was walking, though, because Draedan has gotten tired. I rode him almost all the way here from Riders' Island since this morning. He's actually quite tired right now, even though he doesn't show it. As a matter of fact, I am as well. You said we could stay here in your camp tonight, correct? Well, I think we'll tkae you up on that offer." Aldos smiled at the Elf and then walked over to Draedan and sat down with his back against the large dragon's stomach.

"Oh, come now, we's all trav'ers, sittin nudder the shtars. And now that I looksh at it, that fur ishnt big enough." John squats down splays his fingers waves his fingers in an over dramatic fashion, and pulls his hands outwards, and the fire responds, until it is a raging living thing standing about 4 feet tall and 3 feet around. Smiling to himself as he lays down near the fire, Curb-Drinker mumbles,"Now thas a fire."

Aldos looked over at the Dwarf with a laugh. "I see you use magic," he said,"Well, I'm a bit of a Mage myself." Aldos reached out with one hand and changed the fire from red and yellow to bright blue and white, the heat intensifying, and then turned it back to its normal state. "And I can do more than that," he said, grinning,"My natural magic allows me to enchant weapons. That's what I did with my halberd, here. I gave it the ability to pierce metal much more easily than any other weapon to help take care of those heavily armored enemies."

Dropping the drunkard, Agate resigned herself to the fact that this was going to be practically a convoy of travelers. The dragon was a snappy one, melting the trees without a thought and getting right in Everett's face. Agate almost laughed when he snapped right back at her. The elf could handle himself, that was for sure. He had a valid point as well: there was no way they could have known who the man was. His rank, in her mind, made it even worse. Hopefully he hadn't heard about her and her 'powers'. So far he'd been silent on the matter, in fact seeming to take more interest in the elf. Good. She'd let it stay that way.
The other two, though it was not their intention, were doing a very good job of keeping notice off of herself. The drunk, it would seem, had some rather unusual talent. The fire raged hot and bright and Agate moved into the shadows a bit more. The light sparkling off her scales was rather brilliant, sending scintillating sparks across the three. The Rider felt it necessary to show off his magic as well, comfortably lounging against the green dragon. Her bright green eyes almost glowed in the magic light. As hard as she tried, Agate just didn't look ordinary enough to go unnoticed.

"Well of course I did. It would be rude not to offer an old man and his pet lizard a place to stay for the night." The elf didn't buy the man's story. He had his own reasons to not believe it, aside from the fact what the dragon had said early some what contradicted the old man's story Everett did not trust others out of nature. Granted his former life would do that to you. He was constantly on the trust breaking part, It was ironic but part of the job. Everett managed only a glance at the magical fire. A drunk mage, sadly enough that was not a first for him. The drunkard simply wanted attention obviously, whether he believed it or not. The old man was simply being an old man. "Well hopefully you two can keep quiet because as of now I need to sleep." The elf eyed the draconian, she was trying to keep to herself. Avoiding attention maybe? If so he had learned keeping to yourself among others was the best way to attract it. "I suggest you rest as well. Its getting late." He lied down on his makeshift bed and propped himself onto one elbow. Everett revealed his teeth again and growled, mocking the dragon before he fell back onto his side. At least the dragon would scare away bandits, goblins, and other smaller beings. If there was something the dragon couldn't scare chances were it was big enough to waken at least one of the five.

Snoring contentedly, John entirely missed the light show and peacock strutting of the other caster, not that he would have really cared. Sasha padded over and curled up next the man, but not close enough to contract his swarm of fleas. The fire turns two embers toward Aldos and just glares, because a fire cannot do much else beyond that.

A stick tapped the drunken caster on the forehead, just short enough not to get any of the fleas onto the branch. "Hmm... I wonder if I can make a flea circus from this guy..." Kyra pondered aloud to herself, tapping the stick again to see if the little bloodsuckers would jump or shamble off. She made certain to stay back enough to avoid getting the vermin on herself.
Kyra was simply passing through on her way to Mern, her cart carrying in tow various goods ranging from standard pelts, cloth, and food to odd little knick-nacks and doohickeys, parked not too far away. She figured she ought to have left this all to the business of those involved, after all, it was rude to intrude upon an important conversation between three menacing figures.
She was half-hoping they would fight. After all, it meant someone was probably going to get stomped enough to not notice several missing items. Free stuff is 100% profit no matter what you sell it for.
But alas, disappointment set in when they became civilized and talked their problems out. So she settled for the next best thing, a drunk hobo and his cat. Maybe the curb-drinker could be a useful ploy in a future scam.

Aldos tapped the girl on her shoulder as she leaned over the drunken Mage. "And just who would you be and why are you sneaking around while we're asleep?" he asked her, arms crossed and an eyebrow raised.

Malar was lurking in the shadows as he watched the people who seemed to just be meeting. The Void probably wouldn't care but he had learned that valuable information came from meetings of travelers. He wouldn't show himself since these people showed an obvious distrust fro starngers so he satisfied himself by hiding in a shadow behind a tree.

Kyra managed to quell her desire to jump out of her skin and bolt out of the situation via her coping mechanism.
"Well, I figured that your little camping troupe would very much appreciate the fine pelts I have in my cart! They are of high quality and wonderfully warm for the traveling citizen!"
Unfortunately, this didn't come out from any real pathological thought, it was how this merchant preferred to utilize her panic adrenaline as it coursed through her brain. With a little luck, she could get a few gold out of them, or at least deter any attack on them.
Then again, they could be muggers and that wouldn't be good at all. They did have a walking shag-carpet of fleas in their midst.

"Yagh." John grumbled and pushed Sasha, who was unfortunately the closed. "Shtop being so loud. I can hear yoush over the achol fermntin.*hic* Such a nice dream too," he slurred out,"I was giving away magic beans to little girls, and swimming in a fountain of Elven red wine."
He turned looking around the campsite, then stopped and looked at the fire," YOU! What do you think you're doing?" And with that he stands up, and relieves himself on the fire. A slight growling can be heard from the fire, but it was quickly reduced to it's original size...but was now a neon pink color. Smiling as if he'd slain a dragon, John turns frowns at Kyra and proclaims," I'll need another barrel, ma'am," as he waggles a finger in her directions (not a typo) then promptly fall on his face, and is once again in a world of magic beans and fountains of wine.

Malar watched as the drunken man woke up. He was definitely drunk. His words were barely understandable and he smelled even from this distance. Malar wondered why anyone would keep such a disgusting piece of filth that called its self human to be close enough to see let alone smell. He shook his head and then he understood why when the drunk seemed to have some magical abilities. He was a dangerous one for sure.

A low rumbling growl emitted from Agate's slender chest as the stick began to tap the man she was now in charge of. For some reason she just couldn't escape from drunkards. A silver streak zipped across the fire and there Agate stood in her full glory, the light casting eerie shadows on her metallic scales. "I would ask you kindly to leave my friend here alone," she snarled, baring a vicious set of pointed teeth. Her clawed hand zipped forward with almost unreal speed, grasping the stick strongly. Digging her claws into the yielding wood, she twisted and flipped the stick upwards. It was a simple disarming trick that all the hatchlings learned at a young age. Tapping the girl on the forehead, and not gently either, she shook her head. "We have no need of your furs, nosy peddler. Begone with your pestering ways! Can you not see that we are five? This area is hardly big enough for even the cat!" Her green eyes were snappy and slightly dangerous. With her wings flared and tail whipping behind her, she cut a fearsome figure in the dark and flickering light.
The fire hissed angrily, making Agate turn with the stick in hand. The peddler wouldn't be getting that back anytime soon. Shaking her head, she sighed. Drunken fool. Although apparently the drunkenness didn't effect his powers. "Silence, drunkard," she growled, though now in a much lighter tone. It was not a growl of anger, but of exasperation. Too bad there was nowhere nearby to exercise a tried and true cure for drunkenness, much to the Draconian's dismay.

Everett opened his eye, the little sleep he had was rather unenjoyable he had dreams reminding him of his brother's death. It only put him in a worse mood, and the fact he had been awoken by yet another random visitor made it worse. "Somebody's going to die." He whispered underneath his breath. Pushing himself onto his feet, he drew his sword.Everett walked quickly to the merchant, draconian and drunkard. The look in his eye would strike fear into the bravest of men; yet he would manage to control his anger. He held his sword down wards meaning he would at least not kill them. " Go back from where you've came from fool." He pointed at the merchant with his sword while he went to go grab the drunkard by the collar. "My God you smell like an orc." His tone of voice was not very nice as he grabbed the man's collar. "Come with me, we're going on an adventure. There will be treasure, villains, monsters, and women. You'll become a hero, and everybody will bow in your sight till you give them permission to stand." The elf tugged on the man collar, he would try to drag him if he had to. He waved his sword into the air. " Let us go and show the world a true hero. Forget about the long gone elementals, you will become immortal!" His voice was not enthusiastic, it was still one wrought with anger. Chances were he would not tell the difference.

Aurem being yanked up stood on his own feet...barely. Feeling a hand pull him in a direction, he consented. 'Well, it has been a while since I got to sleep in a nice little cell,' he thought. He tried to click his tongue at Sasha only resulting in a sounds similar to that of a horse chewing on hay. "You hear Shasha? I'm a heroh, and immoral," he proclaimed poking a thumb into his chest. The cat followed along loyally. "So, I've heard talesh of thiss hur dragon, and that she needs a rider in both sense of da word near der boderlands," John said with an excitement that cause a dribble of drool to flow into his beard, and he followed up with blinking: as close as he could get to winking at this time. "Oh, and for the long ...trip? Hehe, trip. I've found this wonderful skin of aged elderberry wine, mmMmm." As he holds out his hands...there appears a rather dubious looking skin that had a neck to it, and about a 2 liter pouch.

Aldos walked over to Everett and stopped him. "Hold on a second," he said to the young elf,"First off, what are you doing threatening a young girl like that? Second off, the man's drunk. Leave him alone." Aldos didn't like this Everett guy's attitude. He seemed high and mighty and just seemed to feel he was superior overall..... And it was getting on Aldos' nerves. "Look, just go lay back down, my Elven friend. I'll handle this," Aldos said.

Hostility apparently ran through this group like some kind of infection and all with little reason.
"Well, my good dragon, I am astoundingly able to count that there are five and if my calculations are correct, there are acres worth of land that a person of my size is able to stand without taking up more space than that between trees, therefore... why am I arguing with a pet? Oh god, I caught whatever these people have! A shag-carpet, a dragon that is trying to utilize logic, and a drama-queen elf, I've definitely caught the loony."
Kyra zipped her way out and back to her cart, hoping to get into town early and cure herself with copious amounts of profit. All she hoped for was that the citizens didn't catch whatever mental pestilence was floating around and making everyone so ornery.

"A dragon without a rider, that could be dangerous. Maybe you should slay it as well." The elf couldn't secretly smirked to himself. Aside from the smell, he enjoyed the company of the easily manipulated drunks. The others not so much. "Oh thats just wonderful, I'll have to try some in a bit. I would now but we must hurry. Everett glared at the man. He had his own reasons to be angry. "I'm not going to harm the man. We're going on an adventure and as his loyal follower and guide his life is not under jeopardy." The elf simply sidestepped away from the Dragon Rider shaking his head. "He may be one of the enemies. Watch yourself around him." He whispered lightly into his ear. The elf pulled on his collar, implying to follow. It was either that or being dragged.
The white haired elf quickly paced away from the old man still holding onto Curb Drinker. They eventually reached a rather small river and stopped right, there was a two feet drop into it. It was flowing slowly and just deep enough to reach Curb Drinker's neck. "Hurry you must bathe in the river of the hero's, or you'll never be able to defeat the.... The man from down below. If he succeeds he'll ban the consumption of beer, wine, rum and any other alcohol related beverage. Oh and he'll enslave the majority of the world. There is no time to waste jump in!" His voice was now turning into one of amusement rather than anger. The stern look on his face had all but disappeared. If necessary though he would give the drunkard a little push into the water.

Malar watched the amusing travelers in front of him. They all seemed like class A idiots and a group of mismatches. There was the aggravating elf, the draconian who appeared to be slightly level headed, the weird merchant, the smelly drunk, and the honor bound rider." He shook his head as he wondered why people so different would be together. He would watch for a little while but if nothing important happens he would go back to the Void empty handed except for the murder he just committed on an annoying merchant.
