Thalmor grinned and shook his head. "I can move from shadow to shadow," he said, crossing his arms,"That's how I got here. Why? Are you happy to see me?"

Eavan blushed at his question and turned her head until the color faded. “Yes. I am glad to see you.” She turned back to look in his eyes as she reached out and touched his hand. “How should we begin?” she asked as she withdrew her hand from touching him.

Thalmor smiled at Eavan and nodded her over to the restroom. "Over here. Fill up the tub, and we'll use that water," he said,"It should be easy enough to do, really. Just kind of....think about what you want it to do." Thalmor stood there, his cloak gone, his arms crossed, looking like a normal person rather than an Elemental who was possessed by an evil Morph.

Eavan nodded and moved into the washroom. She filled the tub with water, sitting on its edge until it was full, then turned off the faucet. She stood and looked back at Thalmor. His dark eyes held her in a strong gaze as she moved closer. “Okay now I am to fight the captain with nothing but water.” She let out a heavy sigh. “I guess I could ice the floor and disarm him.”

"That's one thing, but, you may want to try something a little more complicated and effective, too, such as creating your own weapons out of water." Thalmor said, grinning,"It's not that hard. Max used to do it all the time. He always said he just imagined the water as solid, and it was. Why don't you go ahead and try it."

Eavan nodded and closed her eyes thinking. She held her hands out and smiled as she thought about weapons. “I think I understand.” She said as she summoned the water to her will. The water came toward her in two streams on the air. She opened her hands as the water formed into a sword hard as any metal she could imagine in one. The other gripped around a handle as the stream formed into a long whip with a flayed tip. At each of the tips were sharp looking barbs. Eavan smiled as she examined the whip and the sword within her hand.

Thalmor smiled. "Now, test how solid they are," he said, motioning for Eavan to try their solidity out,"Do it whatever way you can, but be quiet about it."

Eavan walked back to the bed. She let the bed curtains and looked at them before striking side long with the sword. The bed curtains severed and the loosed panel floated softly down to the floor. She smiled, satisfied with the sharpness of the blade and returned to the wash room. She shut the door and turned on the water in the shower. Walking to an exterior wall, she slammed the weapons against it with all her might. Both held firm

Thalmor smiled. "Good," he said, moving over to take the sword and whip from Eavan. he dropped them back into the tub, and they refused with the water. "Now, any more ideas on what you can do? Think about it. Try to be creative."

Eavan looked back at the tub of water. She raised the water in a thin stream and sent it slowly toward the door. The water slithered along the stone as if it were a snake moving under the door and out into the corridor. Eavan closed her eyes as she touched the water within the tub. She grinned as she heard the sounds of her guard entertaining himself with one of the serving girls in an alcove across the hall. “Well, I guess even Orcs need a little love too.” She pulled back the water quickly returning it to the tub. “Alright Thalmor. What next?”

Thalmor laughed out loud at Eavan's comment. "Yes, they do. They're people just like you and me, Eavan. I even found a few allies among them in my time here."

Eavan smiled as she moved closer to Thalmor. “I have never spent a lot of time with Orcs. Well unless you count being beaten by them.” She looked at him puzzled. “Thalmor, if you don’t mind my asking…how long has he possessed you? How long since you have felt the touch of a woman?”

Thalmor sighed and moved over to sit on Eavan's bed, motioning for her to come over and sit down beside him. Once she had, he started. "It's been......oh, about 1003 years since I've felt the touch of a woman," he said, looking over at Eavan,"Her name was Jaselyn. She was a half-elf. Beautiful beyond compare. But....when the Orcs and Goblins started stirring up and The Void appeared, I had to leave her to go help the others track him down." Thalmor's throat constricted a little as he remembered Jaselyn. Seeing the sadness in her eyes as she waved goodbye to him when he left with the other Elementals so long ago. It pained to to think about how much it must have hurt her to hear he was a traitor and that he wouldn't ever be coming back to her. "I.....I never saw her again." Thalmor took in a deep breath and shrugged. "That was a very long time ago, though. I've learned to live with the fact I'm never going to see her again, and that I may never have someone else like that again, because of The Void. "But that doesn't stop me from trying to find a way to fix everything that bastard's done."

Eavan moved to sit next to Thalmor as he sat on the bed. She listened intently, seeing the pain on his face as he spoke of Jaselyn. Eavan lowered her eyes as she felt the sadness and loneliness within her. She could only imagine the depths to which Thalmor’s pain and loneliness must reach. She looked into Thalmor’s eyes as she raised a hand timidly up to touch his cheek. She felt tears welling within her own eyes as she cupped his cheek in her hand. “I will help you in every way that I can.” She leaned forward, pressing her lips softly against his lips. Eavan jerked back as she looked at him with shock in her eyes. “I…I’m sorry.” She said as she turned to face the wall looking down at the floor. “I don’t know what got into me.”

Thalmor was surprised when Eavan kissed him. When she broke it and apologized, he shook his head,"Don't be." He reached over and turned her to face him with one hand and smiled at her,"I actually kind of liked it." There was something about Eavan that reminded him of Jaselyn, strangely. He couldn't quite place his finger on what it was, but....it was there. Maybe that was why he'd taken an immediately strong liking to the Shades, whatever a Shade was. "Anyway," he said, taking his hand away from her,"How about you? What exactly are these Shades you speak of?"....

Eavan turned to look into his eyes, getting lost within their depths for a moment. She smiled softly. She took a breath as she relaxed her tense muscles. She hadn’t even realized they’d drawn up into tight knots.
“Shades are trained assassins working for the elves but not connected to the military. I was sent to kill the Void. That is my only assignment. I cannot return home until my mission is complete.” She looked at him with a sadness in her eyes. “I will never return back to my home now. I will not kill the Void because it wouldn’t be him that perished.”

Thalmor smiled at Eavan. "Actually, there is a way to kill him. It won't be easy, but it can be done," he said,"So, don't worry. All I need to do is find that way to get The Void out of my body, and we can kill him then. Morphs are people, just like use, despite the fact that they look like ghosts." Thalmor looked Eavan straight in the eyes and gave her a reassuring smile. "So, don't worry. You'll get to go home eventually. I'll make sure of it," he said.....

Eavan moved closer to Thalmor. “I’m not worried about going home. I’m worried about you. I will try to get close to the Void. I will try to learn all that I can from him. Maybe I can find something that you’ve missed.” She knew that the chances of her finding something out were slim at best. Thalmor had been with the Void for over a thousand years.
“I will go home when you can come with me.” She told him softly as she looked into his eyes again. “There’s so much I would like to show you.”

Thalmor chuckled and looked at her. "I'd like that, Eavan," he said, reaching over and taking her hand in his,"But, you hardly even know me. By all rights, we just met the other night. Why do you want me to come home with you?" He was confused at why Eavan acted this way with him. He wondered what it was about him that attracted her to him like this. It was.... And then he realized what time it was as he glanced over toward the window and saw a sunrise through it. "Shades!" he said, standing up immediately,"Eavan, I have to go, now! I'll see you again tonight, okay? Just.....don't die against the captain....." And with that, he stepped into the shadows and was gone.....

Eavan watched as Thalmor stepped into the shadows and vanished. She laid back on the bed, pulling the sheets over her as she closed her eyes. ‘Tonight Thalmor.’ She said to herself as she drifted back to sleep. The Void would no doubt be coming soon and she would be ready. The poor captain would be returned to his maker today. Eavan had something to fight for. Thalmor.
