Creel flew at the front of the formation of the Wing of Dragon Riders he led, sitting on Ciraph's back. "There is something nearby," Ciraph said, turning his head just enough to be able to look back at Creel. "Can you tell what it is?" Creel asked,"Smell it? Sense it with your magic? Anything?" "No, I can't," Ciraph said,"It's still too far away to tell what it is. I can sense it, though. Whatever it is, it commands powerful magic." "We need to be careful then," Creel said, leaning back and motioning to the other Dragon Riders. They immediately altered their formation from one of long distance flight to one of engagement, just in case the thing Ciraph sensed happene dto be hostile....

The Borderlands. In a way, Agate preferred these lands to others. They were vastly unexplored, though usually wrought with battles, and thus had a dangerous sort of beauty to them. Also, she was less likely to be bothered with curious travelers and such. However, she did admit to liking the business of the claimed territories. It was somewhat interesting to be a minority - people certainly did notice you. Especially Agate. She was a Dracon, a strange race between humans and dragons. No one was quite sure where they came from, but they had carved out their place on this world just like everyone else. They were, however, a reclusive race, preferring to stick with their own kind. Agate was an anomaly to this general rule, for she had left her home and gone exploring about a year ago. Anywhere she went she caused a bit of a stir. The interest was heightened by her unusual coloring - her scales shone a bright silver, a fact which Agate could be rather vain about. However, as she darted across the cerulean sky, no one was around to see her.
Wings flapping in even strokes, the dragon-like body flew through the sky. With the help of the wind, which she controlled to propel her forwards at twice the speed of any other creature, Agate appeared as no more than a silver flash. Even if someone had been out here, it would have been hard for them to identify the thing that cut the sky in two. Suddenly, in the distance, Agate noticed something. Her luminescent green eyes narrowed as she slowed her speed a bit, trying to identify. She climbed in altitude, preferring not to be below whatever it was. As she drew closer, she could see that the mass was a group of dragons - her distant cousins were impressive beasts - and their Riders. Swooping low, large gossamer wings outstretched, Agate looped around them, cutting underneath them then coming up to a halt in front of one of them. Her eyes sparkled as she halted, cushioning her body in a pillow of air. To the casual observer, it would appear as if she was seated upon nothing. Her wings folded as she sat on her makeshift chair of sky. "Hark, riders," she called, a toothy grin on her youthful snout. "I mean no harm."

Inna Byryn Inna lounged lazily on Typhane's back as they followed the other Dragon Riders in Creel's Wing. She hadn't slept well the night before; she never did the night before a flight. She turned her head to look at the clouds, each of them floating just as lazily as she did upon Typhane's back. Then suddenly she stopped flying. Who had been stupid enough to interrupt Inna Byryn's flight? This did not put her in a mood for a long conversation. "Ty. what's wrong, do you know?" She yawned. Fatigue dropped over her quickly. Her muscles felt suddenly achy. She really needed to sleep more at night, and less during the day.
"It's a Dracon, Inna. She is talking farther up." Inna looked down at Typhane's red-gold scales, and stroked one. It was incredibly smooth and made her feel like she was touching a piece of glass instead of her Dragon. She knew Typhane's topaz eyes were on her as she admired her Dragon's beauty. "Is something the matter, Inna?"
"You're very pretty, Ty. Especially for a Dragon." she uncharacteristically giggled.
"Inna, you need to sleep more. I think you are being delusional." She felt Typhane's body shift under her as she looked back at Inna.
Inna sighed. "I know, Ty. I know."

Creel cocked an eyebrow at the Dracon who 'sat' in the air in front of them. "You must be that Wind Elemental I heard the Dracons discovered a few years back. I heard you ran off. What would you be doing here?" He was rather suspicious of this whole thing. An Elemental just happening to intercept them when they were on their way to fight? It seemed more than a coincidence. The Void could have sent her, for all they knew. He wasn't going to let his guard down around her, just to be safe. She said she came in peace, but that didn't really mean anything in today's world....

Hmm....how had word of her reached to the Riders? Odd, really, for Draconians were a solitary and rather untrusting race. Still, she supposed the whole 'wind elemental' thing was a big deal. Agate often forgot how rare her ability was, for it was just another part of her. "Running off, as you said," she shot back, an impish mischief dancing in her bright green eyes. "The life of a fighter was not for me - why condemn yourself to constant life-threatening conditions and drudgery when there is so much world to see?" Releasing her hold on the wind, she flapped her wings and flew closer to the Riders and their fierce mounts.
The dragons interested her. They looked like her, but then again they did not. Their faces were heavily scaled, ridden with spikes and spurs and all manner of protection, whereas her snout was smooth and clean aside from the two small headspikes protruding backwards. Their wings looked the same, albeit much bigger, as did their tails. However, their bodies were thick and solid where hers was slimmer and more human shaped. Odd. "What brings so many Riders to these lands?" she asked curiously, coming in a bit closer to the Rider who spoke.

Inna Byryn Inna lay her head down on Typhane's neck. "can you hear what they're saying, Ty?"
"Only barely. I'm not paying much attention. Besides, your foot is digging into my side, and it is quite uncomfortable. I believe that could be classified as a distraction."
"Oh. Sorry. Didn't realize that." she shifted her foot, then settled back down. "So what are they saying?"
"Well, they are asking each other what they are doing here. That's about it." Typhane's neck scales shifted as she stretched her neck to see forward. "Nothing else of importance. Quite boring, actually."
"Well, tell me if anything of importance does come up."
"Of course, Inna. I will."

"Well," Creel said, looking at the Dracon,"we're on our way the frontlines in the war against The Void's return. The Riders have just joined the conflict. We're the first of many more wings to come." As he spoke, Creel couldn't help but wonder why the first Elemental in over a millennium wasn't in the desert of Dragowyn helping to defend her people. Perhaps she cared nothing for the other Dracons, inwhich case she could easily be persuaded by The Void. They would need to keep a close eye on her and make sure it didn't turn out that way.

Great. She'd run away from warriors to just run into them again. Just her luck. Well, if they had a mind to capture her they'd find themselves sorely lacking. Hopefully they would be wise enough to realize catching one who could fly faster than the wind would be nearly impossible. Then again, fighting tended to make one somewhat stupid in the ways of logic and meaning. Something about hacking others to pieces did that to your brain. Still, she hoped they would not try anything. For now they seemed accepting enough, though not completely friendly. So she was an elemental....so what? Agate was unaware how rare she really was - the seclusion of Dracon's meant that she was a bit lacking in the 'history' section of the earth.
"The Void, eh? Bad times, to be certain. Well, you should be on your way then. I've got things to see, places to go...all that. I am in no mood or disposition to fight," she said firmly, pinning him with an intense look from her bright green eyes. She hoped they wouldn't cause any trouble. Yes, she would have liked to fly with them for a bit, maybe learn more about the strange bond between dragon and elf or human, two races she was and yet wasn't. However, she didn't want to get caught up in a war.

ooc: Of course I'm the comic relief. Why wouldn't I be? I usually am, at any rate. x) And you say Paramore is not the bigest power of awesomness ever? I beg to differ, as I now have them happily on my iPod! x) Yay!
Inna Byryn "Inna," Typhane said quietly.
"Yes, Ty?" Inna said, nearly falling asleep on the dragon's back.
"She doesn't want a fight."
"Very important. Thank you for the warning." she mummbled and tried to keep her eyes open.

Creel shrugged. "Very well, then," he said,"We should be getting back on our way as well. May the Elements protect you on your journey." Creel turned to his wing behind him and motioned for them to continue on their way.....

"Wait!" she called urgently, extending a silvery clawed hand towards him as he turned. "There are others? Other Elementals? Where? Where are they? I must find them! I....I never met any others, you see," she sputtered. Instantly she felt like she'd said too much, seemed too much like an eager child waiting for the next adventure to come along. But she had to know, had to find the others. All her powers, all her little things she did, were all things discovered by herself. She had a trainer, yes, but he didn't really know how to control the wind, how to fight with it. The most he did was suggest ideas. Now if there were others they could help her. She could train with a real Elemental, really get a grasp on her powers. Anxiously her bright gaze bored into the Rider, imploring him to tell her.

Inna Byryn "Oh my," Typhane breathed.
Inna's head perked up a bit. "What is it?"
"I think this Dracon is an Elemental. Unusual one, this Dracon," she tilted her head to see better, "and it's not just because of her Element. You do know, Dracons don't usually leave their own kind?" she turned her head to look at Inna with one eye.
"Yes, I know that, Ty. But I've never seen an Elemental before. I want to!" She whined childishly, trying to pick herself up from the Dragon's back. "What does the Dracon look like?"
"Well, my guess is like a Dracon, Inna." Inna rolled her eyes and settled back on Typhane's back. "I can't see her."

Creel shook his head. "I'm sorry, I wish I could help," he said with a shrug,"But there are no other Elementals that I know of. You're the first in 1000 years, since the Great Elementals. I wish I could help, but......I can't."

Horus grumbled as he chewed on the slightly cooked meat in his hand. He chewed vigorously as his teeth tore through the tough meat. It tasted bland and dull but he had eaten stuff that would make a goat throw up. Some type of dog had attacked him earlier and this was his dinner. He walked and as he started singing a dwarf bar song he heard the sound of talk, but it was barelt discernible. He walked forward and looked around and finally spotted dragons high in the air and swore.

Wait what?! She faltered a bit, dipping in her flight. With a quick flap she was level with the Rider once again. "The only one?" she said, her voice suddenly subdued. "You mean....I'm alone?" Her green eyes were suddenly filled with piercing sadness. Then she bared her teeth in an unpredictable mood swing. "NO! There must be others!" she growled, suddenly fiercely determined. Now she had a purpose. There would be others out there - there had to be. Flinging out a claw in a reckless show of emotion, she whipped up a sharp breeze. A dust devil arose out of nowhere, large in size. The wind was enough to blow any winged creature off its course, but Agate was in her own little pocket of air.
Suddenly she saw, a bit belatedly, someone down below. The dust devil was whirling towards them and by now Agate couldn't stop it. In her strong emotional state she'd made it happen and now she didn't know how to stop it. "Watch out!" she called as the dust devil enveloped them.

Creel shielded himself from the sand and silt from the dust devil as the Dracon whipped it up. "Dammit!" he yelled out as he saw it heading for the person down below and the Dracon rushing toward whoever it was. "Inna! Go get that man out of the way of the dust devil! Marcus! Dack! Go with her! Gren! Tryson! You're with me! We're going after the Dracon! We subdue her, only! MOVE!" He barked out his orders quickly and than started moving, Ciraph whipping around quickly, his exceptionally large wings stirring up the air around him even more, and shot straight at the Dracon, clawed forearms out, ready to grab her and drag her to the ground. "We need to be careful with this one, Cir'," Creel said to his partner. "I know," the white dragon replied.....

Horus grumbled as his neck started to stiffen up from trying to watch the events unfold above him. He rubbed a large calloused hand over his thick neck trying to get any kinks out and waken it up. He sighed(more of a angry one) as he finished. He stepped forward to start walking away when surprisingly a dust devil formed in the area ahead of him and a large one it was. He swore at the air and raised hos large shield in front of him. With two dwarven stamps his feet were embedded slightly in the earth and he was as unmoving as stone with a determined look on his face. This was going to be a fine challenge indeed to see if it would move him in the slightest. He was about to be enveloped when a claw caught one of his straps and lifted him up into the air. He barely held on to his shield and promptly started to curse," You son of a pig faced orc you should know dwarfs don't fly................(continued along those lines with even more foul language).

Inna Byryn All of a sudden, Inna felt Typhane nosedive under her, and they were going down. There was someone down below them, in a large dustdevil. "I gather Miss Elemental was a wind elemental. Lousey temper, that one," She muttered to Typhane as they neared the one caught in the stong winds.

Snapping her wings close to her body, Agate free fell while using the wind to propel her along like an arrow out of a bow. The dust devil enveloped everything, making it a whirling world of dirt and dust. She wasn't able to stop it, but she was able to create a little pocket around herself where the wind did not hamper her. In this way she was able to reach the dwarf in seconds. Dust beat against him, but he seemed rather stubborn, defiant even. However, she couldn't let him possibly die in the mess she had created. So, flaring her wings to their full 16 foot wingspan to slow herself, she zipped over him. Her clawed hand reached out and snagged him like she would catch a rabbit. Her other hand came around to grab his other strap and hold him more securely. Ooof he was so heavy! The giant shield probably had something to do with that.
Agate had long learned not to fight the wind when it buffeted her about. So, as she gained altitude again, she let the circling winds whirl her around in an upward fashion. Then she beat her wings hard and shot them out of the miniature cyclone. Once out of the dust, she could see three dragons in the middle of the storm, all apparently sent to get the chunk of solid flesh she now hoisted in her arms. If it weren't for the wind that she used to carry her, she would not be able to hold onto this dwarf. "Shut up!" she snarled irritably, "you're alright and I'm not hurting you." For a split second she let go of him, then grabbed him more securely around the waist. For another second she hovered about a hundred feet above the surface of the desert, looking to see what the Riders and their mounts would do. Then she was off again, clipping along at a good pace, fleeing from the no doubt angry Riders that were now pursuing her.

OOC: I still don't think it's right we can't do first person...D=
Inna Byryn "So, obviously, Creel, she got him. what do you suppose we do now, huh?" she said, irate. The Dracon taking away the one thing she'd been asked to do wasn't making her very happy.
