Malnor is a diverse world full of many races. Many of these races also age at varying speeds. So, you NEED to read this before your profile will be approved. Anyway, here are the races of Malnor, their benefits, and their aging rates, as compared to those of us humans.
Humans:
Yes, humans come first. We all know everything there is about humans. They tend to live their lives quickly, moving on from one event to another because they are shorter lived than all other races except for the Goblins and Orcs. The average human lifespan is approximately 60-64 years old. Height varies, but the average is 5'6" for females and 5'11" for males. Human skin color ranges from black to white with all the colors in between. Their hair, too, can be any natural color such as red, black, or brown. Eyes also vary greatly.
Elves:
Elves are a majestic people who build some of the most magnificent buildings ever seen. They also have some of the best warriors, being extremely flexible and adaptable. Elves have pointed ears, and some are very long - some elves have such long, pointed ears that they actually go above the top of their head. In terms of height, they are about the same as humans, though a bit shorter. Their bodies are willowy and graceful, much more slender than the other races. Elves tend to live their lives at a slower pace than most, since they age half as fast as humans (NOTE: this means that an Elf who is 32 would look similar to a 16-year-old human). The average Elven lifespan is 130-136 years old. In terms of skin color, elves are on the fair side. However, elves can darken their skin with increased exposure to the sun. Their hair can be any natural color, even white, but tends to be long and silky, not coarse. The most facial hair that elves get is a small, dignified goatee with no mustache.
Dwarves:
Dwarves are hardy, stout, and...well....short. However, despite their diminutive stature, dwarves are one of the strongest races, physically speaking. They are wonderful smiths due to their affinity for the earth, which gives them easy access to superior armor and weapons. Dwarves live longer than humans, but just barely. In fact, the difference is so slight, it is not even visibly detectable. The average lifespan for a Dwarf is 69-73 years old. Their skin color, like humans, can range from black to white, though most dwarves tend to be a bit darker. They are a hairy races, priding themselves on their expansive beards.
Centaurs:
Centaurs, the half-man half-horse, are very reclusive as a race. Tending to be anti-social when among those not of their own race, they are usually regarded with some caution and suspicion by the other races. However, the Centaurs are actually rather peaceful and prefer to avoid conflict when possible. If angered, though, there is no worse enemy than a Centaur. Centaurs live almost as long as Elves, their average lifespan averaging around 123-126 years old. Their horse half can be any type of horse - dappled, bay, black, white - and their skin can be any shade as well. In terms of facial hair, male centaurs can grow beards much like humans do. Their ears are slightly pointed, though not nearly as much as an elf's.
Orcs:
Orcs are purple skinned with long, claw-like nails on their hands and pointed ears(although their points curl, unlike the Elves' straight points). However, they are also strong - able to match a dwarf's strength - and cunning, making them great soldiers, military commanders, and even politicians. They live just about as long as humans do, with their average lifespan being from about 58-63 years old. Orcs keep their hair short, distinguishing them from the other races. Their teeth are sharp, able to inflict painful and often festering bites, and their eyes can be any color.
Goblins:
Goblins, small green men who have no hair, are the shortest lived race on Malnor. They aren't usually the brightest things on the face of the planet. They aren't blatantly stupid, but just act more impulsively than other races do. codeword: aquadwarf For this reason, they make good food soldiers and workers, but poor planners. Goblins tend to live relatively short lives, their average lifespan only averaging out at about 50-53 years old.
Draconians:
Draconians are a dragonic looking people, with scales, claws, wings, tails, long necks, and snouts. No one is quite sure where they came from, but they are most certainly related to dragons and humans or elves in some way. They are very much like humans in regards to lifespan - their average lifespan is about from 60-67 years old. Like Centaurs, they tend to be more reclusive in nature when regarding other races. When with their own race, however, they are non-territorial, living as a large group.
There you have it. Those are the races you have to choose from. Now you can go and create your character.
