It has come to my attention that we need guidelines on what you can and cannot have in your sig. Well, here are those guidelines! Follow them, or your sig will be removed. END OF STORY. anyway, here they are:
big image - anything from 500 x 500 to 650 x 650. This is the largest image you can have. anything larger than 650 x 650 will be removed from your sig.
medium image - anything from 250 x 250 to 500 x 500
small image - anything smaller than 250 x 250
you are allowed one big image in your sig. However, if you have one large image, you may have no other images and only five lines of text in your sig, if you so wish.
you may have two medium images, or one medium image and three small images. The choice is yours based on preference. both options, however, get five lines of text.
you may have up to 5 small images in your sig. Depending on how many images you have, you get more or fewer lines of text for your sig. for instance, if you have 5 small images, you are only allowed 5 lines of text. for one small image, however, you are allowed to have 9 lines of text in your sig.
just remember, try to keep your sig kind of small. a decent rule of thumb is if your sig is exorbitantly larger than your actual post, then it's too large and needs to be downsized.

But what if the post is just really, really small? Then that would slightly contradict the 'thumb' or whatever.

In general, you should be trying to type at least a good sized paragraph, preferably two. Each paragraph should be at least 5-6 sentences. Posts of one or two sentences are frowned upon in the posting world.

exactly what lynxie said, mystyx......try to make larger posts and stuff. lol. every now and then a couple sentence posts are okay, because there is hardly anything to do. But.....mostly, you're going to want some larger ones. lol.

no offense, but I've been reading and this site sure has a lot of rules, sumdood. don't you think you could. . .relax a little and just let people have more options? lol. not that you have to listen to me. just a suggestion

F.O.E. shota, everywhere you go it's going to be a balance of FOE. and these are just to try and keep the site tidy, and easier on people's internet.

Hey, look at who's name is on the post...might that be....sumdood? And shota, most of the rules added after the initial ones are added out of necessity because a problem has been pointed out. There were some people who went a bit overboard with signatures and were warping the board and such, so dood added the rule just so everyone would be clear. All to make a better board!

I understand the signature rules. but it kind of reminds me of a dictatorship when our own signatures have to be approved.

Oh no, they don't have to be approved haha. It's just kinda a reminder to not stretch the board. Trust me, the rules on this board are very lax compared to some others. Really we won't ask you to take it off unless it's really huge.

yeah. Mystyx was the one who really pushed me to make the decision for this. She had three large images and five lines of text, and they were ALL spaced out. XP lol. so, yeah, I needed to make signature guidelines so I wouldnt have to go to everyone who happened to have too large a sig in the future. It's just so they can make their sigs appropriate without having to ask someone.
