Name: Agate
Age: 19
Race:Draconian - Wind Elemental
Gender: Female
Appearance: Being a Draconian, Agate has scales covering her body. Her scales are a bright silver in color, aided by the fact that she polishes them religiously. Agate despises having dirty scales. On the tips of her fingers are long claws, about two inches in length, that she keeps burnished and sharpened to perfection. Her tail is long and sinuous, a bit flat to act as a rudder during flight. Her legs are angled backwards, not forwards as they are in humans, and her feet end in long clawed toes. Agate remains barefoot, not seeing the point in shoes. Her face is slender and definitely feminine, despite the fact that she has a snout. Her mouth is lined with rows of sharp white teeth that she flashes in a dramatic grin at times. Her eyes are the most startling, for they are a bright, almost surreal green that seems to glow. Her back is smooth, not spined like some Draconians, but she does have two small headspikes extending backwards. Agate's wings are one of the most remarkable parts of her anatomy. Huge, spanning about fifteen feet in length, they are a pale shimmering silver, not metallic like her scales. The delicate yet strong wingbones are visible through the thin but tough membrane. When folded, her wings poke slightly over her shoulders and extend down to her calves. Her wings are more narrow and long than they are broad and short, making her excellent at agility flight and long distance trips. Agate's typical clothing is a leather shirt with no sleeves, typically black, and short pants that go down to her knees. Usually she keeps her midriff slightly showing, for she loves the glimmering sheen of her silver skin. Agate is a very fit Dracon, her body long and lean. Her neck is not so long as to be grotesque, but it is very slender and muscular. In Dracon standards, Agate is very attractive.
Personality: Agate is a traveler. She disbanded from her Draconian heritage at a young age of 16, choosing to travel the world in search of new things. She is highly curious, which sometimes leads to her getting in a bit of trouble. However, she does not worry about such things. Her father, a distinguished member of the Wing Knights, taught all of his offspring how to fight well since they could walk. Agate is a fierce fighter in both air and on land. She even knows a few water combat moves, though she doesn't utilize those often. Her temper is fairly cool, but if you make her angry she will not forgive you for a long time. Agate possesses a strong sense of right and wrong and has no qualms speaking her thoughts aloud. She also has a deep sense of pride, especially about her odd coloring, and does not enjoy being ridiculed. Agate is friendly, but she does not make friends that she talks to and confides in. On the surface she is very open, but all the information she shares is useless. It takes a long time for anyone to find out anything meaningful about her; her evasive nature is largely due to her traveling. She does not trust easily, but once she has declared you worthy of trust she will not desert you no matter what.
Faction Affiliation: None
Weapon(s): Agate carried a short dirk, a midway weapon between a sword and a dagger, with her at most times. She has a slender belt where it is sheathed. It is sharp on both sides with a black leather bound handle and a diamond pommel stone.
Agate's largest weapon is her control over the Air element. She is still young and as such has not learned to use it to the full extent. For the most part Agate uses the air to rush her along, making her twice as fast as other Dracons. In a fight, however, she is learning to mix hand to hand combat with moves using Air. Her favorite move is to furl her wings out wide, then flap them once very hard. She then, by extending her hand for better control, accelerates the air into a hard wall, knocking her opponent off their feet. The only way one could withstand this is if they had buried or anchored their feet to the ground. She can also create a thick fog layer for cover, which allows her to fly away if she is facing a deadly opponent. This move takes the most of her energy, though, and so she can only fly or run away a short distance before she tires. Agate can also use wind to knock things over - the heavier the object, the more energy it takes to push.
Bio: Agate was born to a relatively wealthy Dracon family. She had three brothers, all green, but she was the odd one in the bunch with her silver scales. Her father was a Wing Knight, a highly recognized one, and he took great pride in teaching his children all that he knew. From him Agate learned how to dive, to brake with only inches to spare, to spiral and climb, and all manner of aerial tricks. She also learned a few hand to hand combat moves, though they were all meant to be quick blows, not long combat. As Agate grew older, however, she tired of her brothers and the other Dracons. She couldn't help but feel that there was more out there for her. She loved to fly, though she couldn't go far yet, and soon the love for flight and travel was firmly implanted in her mind.
At the age of 12 she learned of a powerful old magic of sorts. Apparently there were ones out there, not just Dracons but all the races, who could control the very elements themselves. Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Lightning, Darkness, and Light. It was all so gloriously exciting. Every young Dracon had a wish to be one of the Elementals: it meant an instant spot on the Wing Guard or maybe better. Agate wished this as well, though she didn't want to be a part of the army. She kept her thoughts to herself, however, for she didn't want to disappoint her father.
At the age of 13, Agate noticed something strange. During flying contests, which the teenage Dracons often held, she always won. When flying she would will herself to go faster, just think of how fast she could be with a wing at her back, and suddenly she would zoom out ahead. After a while this was noticed, and the elders discovered through testing that Agate was an Elemental.
She was thrilled, of course, but not so thrilled about all the attention. Everyone now expected her to be in the Wing Guard. For a few years her training progressed. Agate learned more about her newfound ability, learning to make it work for her and make her faster than any Dracon before. She showed great promise, everyone said. Then, at the age of 18, she did something that shocked everyone.
One night, in the pitch black, she left home. With the wind at her back, she zoomed across the land, far beyond the reach of anyone else. Maybe she was sick of it once and for all. Maybe it was done on impulse. Or maybe she'd been planning it for a while. Whatever the case, all that was found was a note saying 'Sorry'. Agate had left the Dracon tribe. For a year now she's been a traveler, exploring lands and living on her own. Maybe one day she will return to her home.
