There are several different factions in The Elementals RPG. Now, this doesn't include the nations/sides you can be on, but rather different groups on each side.
So, go ahead and read through them if you think you might want your character to be part of a faction.
Dragon Riders: essentially a separate nation all their own, the Dragon Riders are comprised of mostly Elves and Humans, although there are some Dwarven Dragon Riders as well. All of the races of Malnor are welcome to join(with the exception of Centaurs, who cannot ride anything), if they are selected by a hatchling dragon, but so far, no Orcs, Goblins, or Centaurs have even so much as taken part in a hatching.
Shades: The secret assassins of the Elves' Emperor. They are masters at combat of all kinds and can move more stealthily than any others can. They aren't a part of the Elven Army, sadly, because their numbers are too small to b an actual unit in battle.
Stronghammers: The Dwarves' elite soldiers. They are put through grueling training for months, being pushed to their physical limits. Once their training is over, the new Stronghammers join their brothers in the elite unit. Since the Stronghammers' creation 1200 years ago, there has only been a total of just over 500 casualties among their members in battle.
Wing Knights: The Dracons' hit-and-run combat unit. They are extremely effective, since they are able to fly into a combat area, accomplish their goal, and fly back out.
