Name: Karsha
Age: 54
Race: Dragon
Gender: Female
Appearance: Karsha is a deep, dark purple, appearing black in some lights. However, if one gets close, one can see that her scales are an iridescent type of shade, purple at the core and shimmering outwards. She is a large dragon, measuring at about fifty feet long. Her tail is long and heavy, used as a battering ram if necessary. Considering that it is a mass of muscle, it is a formidable weapon. Her neck is long, though not overly so, and she has small spines all around her face. Her eyes are dark silver, usually sad or angry. Her claws, too, are silver. The rest of her is the dark, dark purple.
Personality: Karsha is very bitter due to her Rider’s death. She has come to hate that which she cannot have and thus has a personal vendetta against other riders. She does not kill often, but prefers to cause pain, whether physical or emotional. Occasionally, if in a very bad mood (usually when it is a gloriously beautiful day) she will go and rampage, destroying a mile of forest or anything nearby. Any other race would do best to run when she appears. Usually she is merely grumpy, lashing out with teeth, claws, and flame if angered. One is lucky if all she does is knock you around and growl at you.
Faction Affiliation: Rouge dragon
Weapon(s): The only weapon Karsha needs is herself and her flaming breath
Bio: Karsha was hatched and chose her rider right away. From that moment on they bonded, just she and the male elf, Jormander. For fifty years they traveled together, having a great many adventures. His white hair and tanned skin stood out wonderfully against her dark purple scales and she had never been happier. Then one day tragedy occurred. Shades had arisen in the mountains and so Karsha and her friend went off to battle them. There were more of them than anyone realized. Karsha and Jormie, as she called him, got separated. Her roars shook the valley as he was hacked down by the Shades. In her anguish and rage, she killed them all.
She was never the same. From that day forward her grief turned to anger and bitterness as she receded into herself. The joyful, playful dragon of before was gone, killed by the Shades along with her Rider. The other Riders and dragons attempted to console her, trying to placate her grief. Dragons, especially those with human riders, typically outlived their partners. Karsha, however, was inconsolable. Becoming more irritated with the other dragons, who still had their partners, she finally flew from them. She was always fast and strong and easily evaded them.
For the past four years Karsha has lived as a hermit, a dragon outcast by her own desire. Do not cross her – she has no friends and doesn’t care if she’s your enemy.
