Appearance: Kia is about 5’7” tall, slim build, long reddish brown hair and deep brown eyes with flecks of gold. She wears comfortable cotton clothing ranging from dresses to long tunics and pants. Her skin is tanned from the time she spends outdoors traveling from place to place. She carries a pack with her at all times that holds the various herbs and supplies that she uses in her work.
Personality: Kia is very mild mannered. She has an innocence and grace about her that endear her to those she meets. She feels things very deeply and has a child-like demeanor about her. Though she is meek and mild for the most part, she is savagely loyal to her friends and family. She abhors violence but if forced to it will protect those she loves or cares for with the savage ferocity of a female wolf protecting her brood even at the cost of her own life.
Faction Affiliation: None. She judges all beings on the weight of their actions and deeds and what she senses within them.
Weapon(s): Kia is an empath and is able to heal. She can sense the feelings and emotions of others but she cannot read thoughts. She feels the emotions very strongly sometimes to the point of incapacitating herself if she is not able to block them in time. She has the ability to heal others magically but prefers to use her physical knowledge because to heal magically uses her strength. The power is linked to her empathic abilities. She hates violence but realizes it is a necessary evil to carry some means of protections. She has a dagger that she keeps in her boot and she carries a long wooden staff.
Bio: Kia was raised with a nomadic group of humans. She was taught the ways of healing since she was young when her powers were first discovered by the tribal elders. At the age of 5 she was seen “talking” to animals. She wasn’t really talking but sensing their feelings and they were able to sense hers. In this way she learned to communicate with the animals of the lands. One day while she was out exploring the forests, she came upon a wounded, trapped wolf. Her mother had gone looking for her and was frightened as she saw her daughter approach the animal. Kia was able to calm the wolf and remove the leg from the trap. She held the twisted, mangled leg within her hands and through her sorrow and empathy for the animals plight, she touched the power within her. Her hands began to emit warmth and a soft golden glow and the leg was healed. Kia’s mother immediately told the village elders and she was set up with their healer to learn his ways. When she turned 18, she struck out on her own. Something inside of her called her out from the safety of her own little world. She had an undeniable feeling that others needed her help. She travels the land now helping others and making friends as she can. She is often a target of the vilest of men thinking her an easy mark but they soon find the fault in their reasoning. She is accompanied at times by the female wolf she befriended and healed.
