Dragons can come in any and all colors. However, there are a few dragons of certain colors that can get a few rare abilities. This is a list of those with those abilities.
White Dragons: Can shoot a beam of concentrated light from their mouths(ie, a laser beam) rather than fire.
Black Dragons: Can shoot a beam of concentrated darklight from their mouths (it's difficult to explain, but it's like a beam of non-light. It's a very abstract concept. XD that's why it's so hard to explain) rather than fire.
Yellow Dragons: Can shoot electricity from their mouths rather than fire.
Blue Dragons: Can breath a cloud of ice that freezes anything it touches to ice rather than fire
Green Dragons: can spit acid instead of fire
Red Dragons: Can spit lava instead of fire(must eat some rocks, first, though. The lava is not generated inside their bodies like the Green Dragons' acid is)
Grey Dragons: Can turn invisible and still breath fire(although the fire is visible)
Dragons outlive any of the races of Malnor, the oldest recorded dragon reaching 300 years old. They can range in size from barely rideable by a Human/Elf, to large enough to build a small house on. The size of a dragon depends on their parents: the larger the parents, the larger the hatchling while the smaller the parents, the smaller the hatchling.
During the pairing ceremony with the Riders, the prospective Riders stand out in front of the eggs while they hatch. Then, the dragons go around with the prospects, each one trying to find a match. When they match up, there is an immediate bond between the two that has never been fully explained(whether it is magical or merely just an emotional bond is also unknown). Sometimes, a dragon or prospect will remain unpaired, in which case the dragon will either wait for more prospects to come, hoping one might be his partner, or may even just fly off, becoming a rogue dragon.
That's it. Now, if you wnat your dragon to have one of these abilities, PM me letting me know. At that time, I will role 1 20 sided die, and if the roll is higher than 15, you get the power. Otherwise......no dice. (hah! XD nice pun, huh? lol.)
