Everett tried to fight back against the solidified water. He wiggled fruitlessly as he tried to get out. Needless to say the elf was angry, the pain faze was over. His face was as red as blood, his breathing was extraordinarily heavy. As Eavan tried to offer him the leather like ice he gave her a death glare. It was obvious he was going to take it. The elf began to curse loudly in many different languages. He turned his head to look at the she elf as she grabbed onto his arm and positioned himself. The elf braced himself as he knew what was about to come, maybe making the pain worse. His cursing became louder and more vulgar as his shoulder popped into place. After it was all said and down the elf gritted his teeth. He looked off her hand as he reached to grab his sword. Frustrated the elf was twitchy as he stuck his sword into the grand. He used it as support to stand on both feet before drawing it out and the sheathing it. "Don't be sorry." The elf scowled taking a few sudden quick steps forward. He bumped into Eavan while walking by her with his injured shoulder. The elf had braced it seconds before contact showing that it was still strong. He began to walk away once again from the dragon and half elf.

Eavan looked up over her shoulder at Karsha, rolling her eyes in response to Everett’s stubbornness. She quickly turned her attention back to him as he bumped hard into her with his injured shoulder. Eavan was slowly loosing patience with his high and mighty, better than tho attitude. “Everett?” she called loudly. “Where are you going? You are still in no shape to go off on your own despite how pig-headed you are. It’s going to be a couple of weeks before you have proper use of it. How are you going to fight the next band of humans that come after you? You know there’s more.”
She looked back up at Karsha. “Are all males this stubborn?” She shook her head as she felt the exasperation setting in on her. Eavan moved next to a tree and sat down. She took her dagger and twirled it absently between her fingers then in a fit of temper, cast it into the ground beside her.

Everett continued to walk away. He was cocky in a sword fight among other things, but in general he did not believe he was better than others. Little to her knowledge she had embarrassed him in a way. It was the only real reaction he had, in fact the elf had held back. He had been about ready to lash out at Eavan. Yet the whole thing was frusterating to him, he felt as if he had been kicked in his manhood and then offered help by the kicker. Despite that the elf knew he had overreacted. "I survive, It is what makes me who I am." The elf said, not knowing not really caring if he had been heard. Chances were he was too far away to be heard.
The elf had made his way down the river bank, not once had he looked back. He had walked for about ten minutes until he found a shallow area. The elf nearly fell onto his face while walking across the slippery rocks. It did not help his current mood. Truth be told the elf had no idea to where he was going. He was heading in the opposite direction of the mountains, away from the rebel bandits, away from the dragon and Eavan. The elf held his head low as he walked into the forest, he was already beginning to regret his decision.

Karsha watched with avid interest as the incredibly arrogant elf managed to get himself upright. My, but he did have quite the vocabulary. It was obvious that he did not appreciate the help with his arm. No doubt he was one of the people that would prefer to just fix it on their own. Now the female, Eavan, was trying to bond with her. Or at least be nice. Rolling her eyes, trying to find a common ground...yes, this elf was trying to get on Karsha's good side. Too bad for her Karsha didn't really have one. She was either going to kill you or treated you with indifference. Indifference was the best one could really hope for when meeting the giant dragon.
"It is not only males that suffer from stubbornness, elf," she growled, "but I do not think that was what he suffers from." Karsha had once been linked to a male - she recognized the symptoms of hurt pride. Elves were a proud race and males were even more so. Being pinned down by a woman and unable to escape, being chastised like a child, all that no doubt made the male rather offended. It would explain his actions rather well. Stubborn little snit. The female was obviously upset at his actions, but Karsha wasn't about to comfort her. Let the little people deal with it on their own. "He won't come back unless you chase him," she offered, curling up into a mass of scales and muscle. Then she half closed her eyes, enjoying the sun.

Eavan pulled the dagger from the ground, wiping it quickly on her pant leg before returning it to the sheath within the leather. She looked at Karsha and nodded. Slowly Eavan rose and walked in the direction that Everett had gone. She began kicking herself for what she had done. Of course he was upset with her. She had used her power against him, even if it was to help him, she hadn’t given him a choice. Eavan kicked around what she would say to him if she could even find him. Nothing came to her. She wasn’t good with people of any race and this was proving no different.
Eavan looked around, calling out for Everett. She began to scan the forest floor and dense foliage for signs of him. Kneeling down, she found tracks obscured on the forest floor by fallen debris. Eavan headed where they led hoping she could find the elf and somehow make things right or at least…she had no idea.

Everett gritted his teeth as he walked through the forest. His stomach grumbled resulting in the sudden realization that he hadn't eaten in all day. That and the fact the he was tired did not aid his current mood. In anger the elf kicked at the ground making a small dusty cloud. He was some what angry at himself, angry at the female half elf for half obvious half not so obvious reasons, and he was angry at the dragon whose sole purpose was apparently to add annoying commentary and deal pain to others. This is the dragons fault. He said to himself while stepping over a lone log. "If she hadn't knocked me off the cliff." He quietly grumbled to himself. By now the elf had been walking for about thirty minutes. It was a non stop very quick walk. Slowly his anger began to die out only to be brought back by the realization he in sorts felt abused.

Eavan watched the forest for signs of Everetts path. Sometimes she found footprints, sometimes a broken branch as she increased her gait. She hollered out for Everett again as she broke into a quick jog. Eavan stopped as she caught a glimpse of the elf up ahead. She called to him again. “Everett!” She held her ground, afraid to push him farther away. “I’m sorry. I haven’t handled anything right since our meeting. I shouldn’t have used my power on you. Please wait.”

Everett stopped in his tracks. He moved his hand toward the hilt of his sword and grabbed it before turning around. She had followed him this far, to the elf he was obligated to at least listen to her. He gritted his teeth in slight anger. "I understand that your intentions were purely good, but you tricked me. You took advantage of my pride knowing I would react to your challenge. Then you struck at me, a low blow. To prove what? That I was hurt, common knowledge that I assumed even the dragon knew." The elf did not stop to breath, he instead continued to talk quickly. " You might as well have skipped to the next part. Yes you only meant to help, but I'd be damned if any living being with rational would not be angry at the fact they watched as they were manhandled knowing there was nothing that could be done." He stopped talking to breath, his face was red because of the lack of oxygen. The elf took one final deep breath before he began to speak. "So yes, an apology is needed but truth be told there is nothing that you can do to have me forgive you. I know you will not beg and it would only disgust me. All that I require is time."

Eavan narrowed her eyes as she looked at him. “I do not beg elf.” She felt her face beginning to flush. “I understand you are upset. I would be to.” She closed her eyes briefly trying to gain her composure. She didn’t have the finesse to deal with people. That’s partly why she liked her work as a shade. She played roles and that was easy. To be herself with someone was not. “Will you come back near the river? It’s getting late and I’m hungry and tired.”

Everett looked down at his feet for a handful of seconds. He had to think. The elf looked up at Eavan and offered a smile. This apparently was extremely difficult for the woman, he at least could be good at talking with others. Though he usually refused to show it. His former life as a shade and a noble, were both full of lying. " Good because I hate beggars." He stopped. "The non poor ones that is." Everett let go of his grip on his sword. "I'll return to the river, you should go create a fire of sorts." With that he walked away from Eavan in the general direction of their previous location. He casually slipped into the forest when he assumed the female elf was not looking.
Within a hour and a half the elf stepped out of the forest. In his left hand he carried two dead rabbits, holding them by their little paws. Everett crossed the river favoring his right shoulder. The elf tossed the two rabbits onto the floor before looking at the dragon. "They aren't for you." He spoke sternly, while breathing heavily.

Once the little female left, Karsha was free to sleep. And sleep she did. Her giant mountainous body rose and fell in slumber. It felt good in the sun. Though it was a deep sleep, Karsha would be able to wake up within seconds. Her ears were highly attuned to any unusual noises. When the elf reappeared, she sat up with a cavernous yawn. "I would not want your petty offerings, elf," she growled, "those would be nothing to me." Standing, she shook out her wings. She towered high over the two. If she wanted, she could simply walk over them without even touching them. It was twilight. Grabbing a nearby pine tree, she crushed it into a pile of leaves, sap, and bark. Rearing up, she shot out a thick pillar of flame, instantly catching the entire thing on fire. "Cook your little beasts," she snarled, "I will hunt elsewhere." With a flap that threw sparks all around, she took off, spiraling off above the forest.

Eavan stayed behind as she struggled with her thoughts. Why was it so difficult to talk to him? She drew a deep breath and turned to make her way back to the river. Snap! Eavan turned sharply in the direction of the sound. It had been close, almost on top of her. She reached for the short sword but before she could draw it she heard a loud crack just as she felt the splitting pain and saw the bright flash of white before her eyes. She heard voices, muffled and garbled around her as the black veil dropped over her eyes. She faintly heard footsteps around her and then nothing.

"Which is why I did not off them to you in the first place." He pointed out as the dragon flew up into the air. The elf looked down at the rabbits and smiled. They were a pain to get but it could of been much worse. The elf looked back up, his grin quickly disappeared. There was no fire until of course the dragon had made one. It would be maybe the only nice thing she planned to do, but he was too deep in thought to thank her.Eavan should of been here by now, she was not. Something had obviously happen to her, that or she had ran off. Somehow he doubted the latter. "I'd be damned." The elf whispered to himself as he quickly turned back to where she had found him. His hand grabbed hold one of his swords before he began to run across the river. She had saved him from maybe not making it to the top of the cliff and away from the dragon who in her anger still might of killed them. This meant he was obligated to help her at least once if she was in need of help. As Everett entered the forest he began a full fledged run. He ran one straight path, only moving aside for tress. Bushes and logs alike were leaped over. It had been nearly two hours since he had last seen her, who knew what had happen since then. The elf came to a sliding stop, as he entered the area he had last seen her. He drew both swords and growled almost animal like. Caution was thrown out of the window, but that did not mean he wasn't area of his surroundings.

Eavan felt immense pain within her head as she slowly came to. She opened her eyes and was met by a blanket of darkness. She moved to bring a hand to her face in attempt to rub her eyes but found herself held in place. Her legs felt the tight grip upon them as well as she began to struggle. She heard the voices around her as she felt fear reaching up from within the deepest recesses inside her.
“Hah! She’s coming round. This may prove to be more fun after all. I like it better when they fight.” Another voice sounded. “Teach her to meddle in the affairs of others.”
Eavan struggled against her captors as her mind clouded at the threat facing her. The men just laughed as they began to fight amongst themselves. Eavan realized that they were fighting to see who would have at her first. She struggled harder against them as her plight became more desperate. She couldn’t hear anything except the men, couldn’t smell anything except the stench of liquor and sweat. She tried to touch on her power but her fear kept it from her grasp.

Glorbuk hid behind the tree, peeking out from around it. The men were all fighting amongst themselves over Eavan. Doubtlessly they were going to take advantage of her in whatever ways they could. He, however, would have to stop that. Thalmor had made him promise to find Eavan and keep her safe, and that's what he intended to do. So, he waited for a few more moments, and then he burst from the trees, making a beeline for the men around Eavan. He quickly brought out some flint and steel and struck them together, gathering the sparks and turning them into all-out flames, whcih he sent careening into the men, sending them back from Eavan. They began to scatter as he came up to her and started untying her. "It's me, Eavan. It's Glorbuk. Thalmor sent me after you. Are you okay? They didn't hurt you, did they?"

Eavan continued to struggle as she felt someone pulling at her. As her hands came loose, she struck out wildly stopping only when she heard the familiar voice. "Glorbuk? Thalmor what?" Eavan turned her face to the direction of Glorbuk's voice. "Glorbuk, I can't see. My head..." she trailed off as she raised her hand to the back of her head. The hair was matted and she felt the sticky warmth of the blood as she pulled her hand away. "We need to get out of here." She reached out to him as she moved to rise.

Glorbuk reached out a hand to keep Eavan down. "Just a minute. Let me heal that for you, then I can get you out of here. They hit you very hard. You can't see, can you?" He spoke with a sadness in his voice. Eavan didn't deserve this. She was too nice a girl for something like this to happen to her. He reached around behind her head and called his magic out, healing her wounds. "Can you stand?" he asked, standing up next to her and reaching out to take her hand.

Eavan felt her wound healing under Glorbuk’s touch. Her eyes closed as she felt the magic flow into the wound healing it. Eavan opened her eyes slowly again and the same dark veil greeted her again. She shook her head slowly, lowering her voice. “No I can’t see Glorbuk, even now there is only darkness.” Eavan reached out in the direction of Glorbuk’s hand as she moved to stand. “This presents a real problem.” Eavan said out loud though it was meant to be nothing more than a thought.
She stood still as she tried to clear her head and focus on the problem at hand. She needed to find a way to hide this quickly. Eavan stopped, standing still as she opened her mind to her other senses. She tilted her head, listening to the area around her. She could hear Glorbuk’s breathing as he slowly returned to normal after dispersing the men. Way off in the distance, she could hear the water. She could smell him and feel him standing close to her. “I need to get back to the river but I’m not sure how my companions will react to seeing you Glorbuk.” A worried expression crossed her face as she thought about her already strained and tumultuous relationship with Everett. She had now become a liability to their safety. Everything she had done had been wrong and now she was a weak link within the trio of unlikely companions.
“I have to think.” She said as she absently brought a hand to her head. Hearing an almost animal like growl, she turned to face the direction of the sound. It was off a little in the distance but close enough. “Everett is near.”

Everett smirked as he spotted the target. He did not know what an orc would be doing here, nor did he care. The fact was that they were generally known as unintelligent brutes. Smart enough to be considered civilized but that was just about it. The orc stood next to Eavan whom he heard speak. It quickly raised a number of suspicions in the elf. Was she a companion or a friend of the brute? Had he been following them and if so for how long? Was she aware of the fighting? To the elf she seemed to warn the orc more than anything. It was almost as if he was the enemy. Granted he could of just been a friend who happen to be an orc and wander upon finding her thus distracting her from returning to the river. The latter seemed unlikely to the male elf. These thoughts quickly entered the elf's mind as he ran at the orc both his weapons drawn. At the end all his thoughts resulted in him thinking the orc was an enemy to at least to the elf, whether he was Eavan's captor or not he would attack him. There were more factors that influenced his attack, such as the fact he wanted to kill the orc the second he had seen him. As an elf the orc was a natural enemy to him.
The elf's charge was quick yet stunningly silent aside from the snapped branches. Everett lifted his sword to strike at the orc yet he didn't at least not then. When he was within a few feet of the beast instead of striking, he rolled to the orc's side. The elf had hoped to catch the orc by surprise and slowly himself down. He had at least completed one of his intentions. With that he quickly stood up and swung his sword to his enemy's side.

Glorbuk heard the tree branches snapping and immediatley turned to Eavan. "Drop to the ground," he told her, pushing her down so she wouldn't get hurt,"I"ll take care of this." He whipped around, flint and steel in his hands. He struck them together, manipulating the spark into a large flame between his hands, which he sent at the Elf charging him. However, he Efl dodged to his side, striking out with his swords for Glorbuk's side. Glorbuk retaliated but putting his hand out and forming a brilliant ball of light, averting his eyes from it so it wouldn't blind him. The flash from it would be enough to blind someone for an hour or so. Enough time for him to get Eavan away from this man, at least.
