Kia looked back over her shoulder, still held within the Orc’s massive embrace. He held her gently as she turned her head looking over her shoulder. “Were they your’s. Sorry but I’m afraid I killed one of them.” Her eyes became overcast as she looked upon the bodies lying strewn about the plain. “They attacked and I had no choice.” She looked at the male centaur, bow in hand with arrow at the ready. “Gorluk is my friend and protector.” She told him as she eyed him narrowly. She turned her attention back to the Orc. “I am still following the star.” She told him as if following a star was the most natural thing in the world to do.

Coring grumbled, he did not like this at all, it wasn't right. The orc's were disgusting, about as grotesque as the goblins themselves. He was tired of these bipeds blighting the lands. "This female must be daft, I should shoot them both where they stand..." Corin said as he readied his bow, "Get ready to leave Kassi, you don't need to get involved." Corin didn't know why but he wanted to make sure this centaur knew how wonderful he was more so than other... probably cause she was so cute? Grah, these thoughts were clouding his mind and his judgement.

Gorluk chuckled and his deep voice echoed around. "Ah I'm just mad cause I wanted to kill the little buggers myself. See I was creating a little army of them and this little squad decided to make a brake for it." He shook his head as he thought of the twenty more he had somewhere close by tied to a couple trees. "Yeah follow that....." Gorluk growled angrily and tossed Kia down as gently as he could but with his mass of muscles it wasn't very nice. He like all orcs and even more so hated centaurs and Gorluk was a zealot to his people's religion. "Stupid horse man!" Gorluk took out his greatsword with one movement and both of his large hands grasped the hilt of the magnificent weapon. It was around five feet long and six inches thick perfect for cutting through horse legs.

Corin let fly 4 shafts in quick succession each finding their mark. There was no way he could kill the orc in such armor, but he could hopefully delay it enough for Kassi to escape. The first two arrows found their mark upon the orc's fingers, one for eah hand, while the other two struck the top of the blade, using leverage to wrench the large blade from the orc's hand. If the orc where any farther or closer Corin would not have been able to make such a shot. "If he makes a move you run, run like the wind!" Corin hissed to Kassi.

Kassi tipped her head in confusion as Kia ran not away but towards the orc. Was she mad? Her ears picked up the conversation. She knew him? How on earth did a human healer know an orc? Her confusion was cut short by Corin's words. "Do not shoot them," she urged, nervous because he pulled up his bow. Kassi gasped as the orc pulled out a fearsome looking sword. He certainly did not look like he was friendly. Orcs, she had heard, were one of the centaur's worst race enemies. She didn't quite understand why, but she knew that orcs viewed her kind as a disgrace upon the earth. As if - centaurs were the most magnificent creatures seen on this world! "Corin!" she shrieked as he shot four arrows towards the orcs. "There was no reason for that!" she protested, her face paling. "Now he will certainly attack!" Her four small feet pranced over the earth as she hemmed and hawed. Yes, she must go say sorry to him. Perhaps Kia would be able to explain things. Throwing up grass and dirt, she galloped off towards the orc, her feet flying swiftly, tail and hair flowing in rippling black curls behind her.

Kia jumped quickly to her feet, staff in hand as she met Kassi. She held a hand out to her to still her then turned to glare at Corin and in turn, Gorluk. “Gorluk what are you doing? I have placed my touch upon him. Do you not remember what that means?” Kia’s touch bound her to whomever she healed. In turn, she took on responsibility for them while in her presence. She would not allow harm to one she healed. “Gorluk,” she said as she gently placed a hand on his massive arm. “You have protected me well since we met. Please lower your weapon. This is not the time. Something calls in the distance. Trouble is coming in greater force to Malnor. We will need everyone to stand together or we all, all races shall perish before it.” Kia looked at the Orc with great respect and admiration. “I shall need you more than ever so please, let me remove the arrows and heal you my friend.” She told him softly as she looked down at the two arrows that had pierced him.

Corin rushed after Kassi. "Daft filly." He mutter to himself as he galloped towards her. He drew his axes and prepared himself for a fight. "Are you women daft! This brute of a biped means us harm! His kinda are a blemish on this world, did you not see him draw his blade to strike us down?!" Corin proclaimed as he galloped up to the chaos. If the orc ment them harm, he would ensure he paid for it dearly, regardless of how much it had hurt him to run over. He watched the orc carefully, he would not show any fear nor any sign of pain in front of Kassi, and he would allow no harm to come to her. Why did he care so much?

Corin was fast behind her, no doubt ready to defend her. Guys were always doing that and, for the most part, Kassi let them. She was not aggressive or outspoken enough to protest. She stampeded to a stop, going to the other side of Kia to let her stand between her and the orc. His hand wounds looked nasty. The arrows had pierced true and she grudgingly had to admit that Corin was a very good shot. "Kia knows him - he would have halted his assault. Now you have hurt him! You are just...just," she spluttered, her cheeks red with her rare outburst and her eyes snapping with emerald fire. "Impossible!" She stamped a pretty foot on the ground, whisking her black tail in ire. The young centaurs were so impetuous - the orc may have been inferior, but attacking him without real cause was not appropriate. "He cannot help being what he was born to! Neither can Kia! She healed you, might I add." Kassi turned from him, still keeping a wary eye on the orc. He did look fearsome.

Gorluk grunted as his sword was being pushed away without his consent. Instead of fighting it though Gorluk thought on his feet and used the momentum to shove the point into the ground so that the hilt was within easy reach. He smiled wolfishly at the tiny arrow points in his thick purple hand and quickly and violently ripped them out accompanied by a gush of blood. Gorluk looked dangerously at both of the centaurs and slowly bent his head down and licked his dark blood from his hand." I wont kill them......yet."
"You filthy little horse abomination!" Gorluk's massive frame went forward aggressively to attack the fool when Kia's hand was placed on his forearm. He knew he could easily throw her tiny frame but he didn't want to hurt the only human or for that matter only person he liked. His dark black eyes narrowed dangerously and he took his arm away and with a shake of his head he ripped his greatsword out but instead of killing the animal abominations he slipped it into its strap.

Kia reached out and took Gorluk’s hand within her’s. She closed her eyes as the power began to reach out through her into the wounds. Her touch warmed as the golden glow grew in intensity. The wounds slowly closed though she left him the pain. She wavered slightly as she looked into Gorluk’s eyes. His hand still within hers, she turned to address the centaurs. “Gorluk, this is Kassi. She is a friend. The male is Corin, he is a…” Kia paused for a moment not knowing what to say. She looked at Corin and the way he was acting around Kassi. “he helped me, keeping me safe from the goblins.”

Corin stomped his hoof in anger these women were mad! He quickly regretted his actions as it sent pain up his leg. The pain caught him off gaurd and he winced before quickly fixing his expression. He'd have to remember not to stomp anymore, it only seemed to cause him problems. "You women are daft..." he mumbled under his breath, holding his axes tightly. He was not skilled at all with the weapons, but he'd do his best if the orc tried anything.

Filthy? Abomination didn't hurt Kassi as much - he was flawed in his views, a subject of his upbringing. But filthy? She glanced at her flanks: they were a snowy pure white. Not a spot on them. Her hooves were clean as well, glossy black like her mane and hair. Those, too, were curled and rippling, no sticks or leaves caught in them. Her forest green tunic was new, bright, and fresh, no spots on it. She had even put lavender oil on her skin this morning. Kassi felt that she was far from filthy. She also felt like the orc should look at himself to see real filth. He was dirty, sweaty, covered in that nasty thick armor that did nothing to enhance his already dismal looks. Kia she could see some beauty in; humans were lesser than her race, but not so far off that she couldn't see the value in them. But it did warm her heart to know that Kia, at least, didn't see her as filthy. And had Corin really saved her? From goblins? Kassi cast a quick and slightly admiring glance at the tawny centaur who had rushed up. Hopefully he didn't try to attack the orc. That would not end well, she thought while eying the massive sword that was now sheathed. Hopefully Kia would be able to keep the orc from attacking them. Kassi didn't know if she would be able to have any effect on Corin. "I am not filthy," she protested a bit primly, dancing a bit farther away from the orc. Best to stay out of reach of that giant sword. "Corin, let's just go back home. Leave the orc and Kia. No reason to fight over nothing." This standoff was making her nervous.

Gorluk watched as she healed his hand and he couldn't help but give off a orcish grin. It always amazed him how she did this and no matter how many times he watched he would never figure it out. "You always amaze me with that little talent of yours."He sighed and took his hand way from her gently wanting it to be ready if that overly arrogant horse wanted to attack, but Gorluk didn't worry much any seasoned warrior like him knew the signs of a trained soldier and one used to other things. Gorluk bent his giant frame to become even with Kia's ear and whispered,"I'll cut the male down if he becomes trouble, not kill him just cut."
While in the midst of the aggression Gorluk had let the female centaur escape his notice and he finally eyed the female horse. She was... clean and if she wasn't an abomination might have been a good steed. He shook his head and chuckled at her reaction to his words. If they knew how much they meant to the exact opposite of the natural order they wouldn't be so high and mighty. Yes orcs weren't pretty creatures and they didn't care they were built for battle and battle wasn't cute so they were fine with the way things were."Yes filthy"

Kia smiled at Gorluk. “I’m glad that after all this time you still find me interesting.” She told him as she lightly squeezed his hand between hers then turned her attention back to the two males. As Gorluk insulted Kassi again Kia reached up, standing on her tiptoes, and twisted his ear. “Gorluk! They are not an abomination nor filthy. They are beautiful and magnificent.” She turned to face the centaur, smiling briefly at Kassi before addressing Corin. “And for your information…Gorluk is neither stupid nor a brute. He has watched over me despite my being….inferior in the eyes of others. Funny how those are the same people that I look at and see only an individual. Why must it always come to race?” Kia let loose of Gorluk and looked at all of them. “Why can’t anyone see the beauty of the things that make us different?” Kia looked toward Kassi. “I am going into the shade. I am thirsty and hungry now. If they want to kill each other for no reason other than their race then let them.” With that Kia moved to pick up her pack and move to the shade.

Corin couldn't believe these women, they were crazy. Friends? Peace between races? The orc ment to harm them all, who cared of the war? "You try anything orc and my arrows shall find your throat." Coring muttered as he followed the women, keeping an eye on the large beast of a biped.

Gorluk spat on the ground venomously when Kia mentioned that the creatures were pretty. He snorted loudly at the thought why would anyone think these unnatural creatures. As he scratched his beard thoughtfully as he considered taking Kai up on that offer and killing these things right now but he shrugged and was about to follow when the fool of a centaur talked. "Well trust me abomination you will have to kill me with your first attack since my blade will surely kill you and Kia will heal me first."

Kia was right. Centaurs were glorious creatures, the mix of two noble races. Kassi pawed the ground with a front hoof as he said she was, in fact, filthy. She eyed him, trying to see what Kia saw. Well, mayhap he was intelligent, despite what all the stories said. Time would tell. Right now, though, he certainly wasn't acting very intelligent. Neither was Corin. She could see why the other males seemed to talk of him with scorn. He was a bit of an arrogant showoff. Deciding to follow the more cool headed Kia, she turned to go. Corin and the orc were still at it. "Yes, let's leave the boys to sort out their issues. All this killing for nothing," she agreed. Orcs and humans were inferior, but Kassi held that they couldn't help being what they were born. She certainly wasn't going to kill over it. She was a healer and as such despised killing and violence in general. Her four neat little hooves trotted alongside Kia as she left them to their squabbling.

Corin had enough of this, why did he have to put up with this arrogent, pig headed, biped? "Maloderous beast, you just keep your blade sheathed and we'll not have to find out which of us is faster." Corin growled distancing himself greatly from the orc, and taking up position gaurding the women from the shade.

Gorluk laughed at the stupid abomination. The creatures were supposed to be smart but this one was filled with foolish pride. If he had been orc he would have had that bet out of him and would learn pride only came when it was earned and you must still always be wary. "Whatever pony boy." His chuckle rumbled from deep withing and as he walked over to the shade he smiled quickly at Kia then went to sit next to her. His heavy plate armor had to be adjusted and with his large frame he kept a foot distance between them and gave a small laugh.

Kia pulled the pack in front of her as she watched the males coming slowly, albeit begrudgingly behind them. She pulled out two parcels wrapped tightly with twine. She quickly untied them, spreading them out on the ground before her. One containing dried fruits and bread, the other a large amount of dried meat. She looked to Kassi, smiling softly. “Would you like something to eat. I’m sorry but I don’t know what centaurs eat.” She looked to Corin gesturing to the food as well. “Please help yourself to whatever I have.” She moved back reaching again within the pack and took out a rather large parcel. She tossed it to Gorluk. “I always keep enough on hand in case or paths cross my friend.”
