"Why I am the mighty Borris Geltrock my fair lad, and this lass here, she be and angel!" With that Borris grinned from ear to ear and hummed a rough dwarven tune to himself.

Lyo's smile faded and he blushed deeply as she found out what he was thinking. He shook his head in wonderment at how women always seemed to be one step ahead. He sighed at the dwarf and laughed at his tune.

"GRAAHAHAHAHA! Now THIS is a kitchen!" Borris stumbled forth grabbing pots and vegtables, and searching for a knife to begin chopping. "Here young boy, wash and chop these up in good cubes, I must search for spices, and young lass, please if you will a spot of water for the pot." Now in the kitchen Borris seemed more sure of himself and much less unsteady on his feat. "Now to make a REAL meal."

“Very well Master Borris. How can I help you?” Eavan asked as she pulled the pot from his head and tossed it aside with a clatter as it hit the floor. She pulled a clean pot from the rack and placed it on the counter in front of him.

"We are making a robust pot pie! The pot is for a seceret sauce. Now on to the dough!" spoke Borris as he trodded off to gather the ingredients he needed.

Eavan took a deep breath. "To cook will be quite an adventure!" she mused adding, 'in this kitchen anyway.' under her breath. She turned behind her and took the flour off the shelf. "Borris," she waved her hand and whistled. "I've got your flour over here my friend. What else can I get for you?"

Lyo laughed at Borris's change as soon as he came into the kitchen. He went over to the basin and washed his hands thoroughly. With a grin he went over to the table that held the knife and vegetables. He picked up the knife and judged its balance. He flicked it in his hands trying to get a center of balance. When he got it it started to twirl a little faster and then it suddenly came down and chopped. As his confidants grew so did the speed until it was a blur. He never knew cooking would be so fun!

Borris returned with a large pan, and a bowl. "We'll be needing plenty of eggs and milk lass." He turned to Lyo, "You keep chopping elf, we'll be needing plenty for our Goblin Chopped Pie! One delicious, delicious dish!" with this he licked his lips and continued his cooking preperations.

Eavan gathered the eggs in her arms and placed them on the counter near Lyo and Borris. She brought the milk and set it down as well. She had seen the speed and precision Lyo had used when wielding the knife and wanted to check a hunch. Picking up three eggs, she threw them to Lyo. "Lyo! Think fast!"

Lyo whistled as he chopped the vegetables. He was having fun and he was in great company. He had just hear Eavan's shout and when he saw the fragile eggs heading straight for him he dropped the knife and his hands moved to catch them. As the first one came in contact he moved it back to absorb the blow and tossed it in the air as he did the same to the other two. His hands moving in a blur as he juggled them and making sure nothing hapened then he gently placed them all down as they fell.
"What was that?" Lyo had no idea why Eavan would suddenly get angry at him since he hadn't done anything to deserve harsh treatment.

Eavan moved over to stand next to Lyo. “You have amazingly fast hands. Who exactly are you?” She leaned over on the counter as she looked closely at him. Her eyes narrowed playfully. “Sorry but I’ve seen very few who handle a blade as you do. What happened to your Draconian friend?” Her eyes drifted to Borris as a small smile crossed her lips. She shot him a quick wink as he moved about the kitchen quickly.

Borris worked on oblivious to the two talk to each other, he was in his element. He was still buzzed and was surrounded in a kitchen. The smell of foods cooking, a fire roaring, Borris couldn't be happier. Well, not true, he COULD be happier if he had a flagon of ale in hand... and that keg in the back will soon solve that problem. Crust was ready, sauce was cooking, and veggies were in the process of getting chopped, time for a drink.

Lyo swallowed gratefully as he found out he hadn''t angered her. He breathed a sigh of relief and a playful grin met her as he looked back up. " Thanks for the compliments not many say that and if you want to see fast you should talk to the General they say he has a brother who was one of the best Shades ever, his name was Fayr(I'm bringing him in later). On another note my draconian friened, Agate, should be surrounded by overly inquisitive elves at the moment."

Eavan smiled. “Who’s the General? Haven’t seen him in here before, at least I don’t think I have.” She eyed Borris as he spied the keg in the back. She laughed, shaking her head as she turned her attention back to Lyo. She picked up the knife and twirled it within her fingers. As it came to the end of its spin, she loosed it into a hanging round of cheese across the room. The knife struck the cheese dead center causing to spin in its netting. She winked at Lyo. “A girl can never be too careful.” She told him.

Lyo was taken back that the girl didn't know the General. It wasn't like he was famous but he was well known and respected. He looked at the dwarf as she did and another smile graced his lips and a he barely contained a laugh. He turned back to watch as Eavan threw a knife into the cheese. "Neither can a guy." With a flick of his wrist he unleashed the blade hidden in a bracer strapped to his wrist and it cut through the mesh holding the cheese up.

Well this sucked. Agate found herself dragged along for a short while, which she didn't mind, but then the two got involved with an elf and left her completely alone. Did the merry elves not know what it was like to be alone? To be a stranger? She found their lack of thought for her rather insulting. Elves, she had heard, were hospitable friendly creatures. Agate would beg to differ. Was she that unimportant to her new friend that he would just desert her? The dwarf was loud and smelly - she could smell him from a distance. He was drunk, apparently, or maybe just out of his mind. Lyo was joined by a young woman and they began to minister to the elf. Agate found herself surrounded then by curious elves. Their laughter rang in her ears like bells, inquisitive faces searching every inch of her. No one dared shove her or touch her, but they certainly got as close as they dared.
Questions flew thick and fast as soon as they realized that she was not going to eat them. Did she really fly? How large were her wings? Such a shiny coat - was it natural? Were her scales made of metal? Was she really kin to dragons? Could she breathe fire? All these and more rang in Agate's ears. She tucked her wings in tightly, feeling like if she spread them they would be poked and prodded. Her tail curled around her legs, mostly because she didn't want to be stepped on. "Yes, I can fly quite well. My wings are much to large for this area," she began to answer, her green eyes bright in the light and her clawed hand twitching a bit. She wasn't used to these crowds. "My coat is natural, but it's not metal. It's made of the same stuff as dragon scales - whatever that is. Even Draconians don't know where we come from - but no we can't breathe fire." In fact, Agate did quite the opposite with her wind power.
As she answered questions, the elves got bolder. A few hands reached out to touch the edge of her wings, a finger or two stroked her arm to feel her scales. Agate shied away from their touches - her race was not touchy feely even in the loosest sense of the word. Finally someone asked her if she could roar loudly. Smirking, she swelled her lungs and let out an earth splitting roar. It was a long and fearsome call - a battle call, in fact. Agate had learned it from her father. It was supposed to induce fear and trepidation, and it worked. The music stopped, the elves all ceased their chatter, and Agate hoped it would teach Lyo to leave her alone for so long.

Borris had just started pouring himself a nice cool flagon when he heard the roar. He didn't know what the sound was, but it could most definatly do with a cold drink. "I GOT IT! I GOT IT!" He shouted as he rushed through the kitchen and out the door. Reaching the doorway he saw a sleek silvery being, similar to that of a dragon. The silence of the elves was perplexing. "You *expletive* elves, haven't you ever seen a dragon before?! Who's the rider eh? Don't worry pretty lil dragon, I got plenty of Goblin Chop Pie for everyone!" With that he took a long drink from his ale.

Eavan looked at Lyo as she heard the Draconian roar. The rafters themselves in the kitchen shook with the force. "MEN!" she exclaimed shaking her head as she saw Borris running out of the kitchen. "Great!" she shouted to herself as she followed the drunken dwarf from the kitchen. Eavan smiled at Borris, patting him on the shoulder lightly. "I got this Borris. You better check the pie. Lyo's watching it and you don't want it to burn!"
Eavan looked at the Draconian and was immediately captured by her deep green eyes. They were gentle but held a noble strength within them. She approached her slowly, extending her hand and gesturing toward the kitchen. "You came with Lyo right? He's in the kitchen helping Borris and I. Would you care to come? I could use another girl around. Borris alone is quite a handful. I don't know how he can cook so drunk and not burn down the kitchen." She smiled softly as she waited for the Darconian's reply.

Well that had certainly brought about the desired result. The dwarf, apparently recovered from his 'ordeal', came thundering out. He stopped when he saw her, apparently not expecting that. He berated the elves, which was admittedly amusing for Agate, but then started speaking of dragons. "I am no dragon, dwarf!" she exclaimed in a slightly affronted manner, "I am a Draconian! I need no Rider to control me!" So maybe he wasn't as recovered as he seemed. Didn't the thick little man know the difference between a dragon and a Dracon? Strange people.
Then another person appeared, an elven maid. Well, hopefully another female would not leave her alone like Lyo. He was far too flighty and distracted. Relaxing a bit, she waved away any more questions. The elves gave her a good distance as she walked towards the woman. "Men are a handful in general," she snorted, "and yes, I came with Lyo. I am not much of a cook, but I can tame any beast, even if it be a drunken dwarf." Draconians rarely, if ever, got drunk. However, Agate had a pretty good way of sobering him up quick if he got worse.

Laguidly leaning in a chair nearby, Ahlanna watched this fanfare with a smile one would expect women to have in the presence of a widely popular person. Though the smile was but a front, the giddiness was real. Which person looked as if they could afford a visit to their house during the night or training hours? Ahh, but pleasure first, then business, as Ahlanna kept her eyes peeled for someone who looked as if their gold might be weighing them down. Finding an unlucky target, Ahanna began to think what she wanted to drink with her meal.
