Lyo's bright green eyes narrowed in anger when he heard the roar of his friend, Agate. His fingers unconsciously bit deeply into the wood of the table he was leaning on. He was planning on getting her once the food was finished but no she decided to probably ruin the hearing of dozens of elves. Lyo released his death grip on the table and took a deep and relaxing breath and went to the door to look at the gathered group.
"No one pay attention just party!" Lyo roared this and some obeyed while others still seemed lackadaisical. "Party!" This time his command wasn't ignored and the band started to sing and dance and even though the elves near Agate had their ears covered in obvious pain others started to dance again.

Borris looked up at his newly made friend, Lyo. Borris may have been quite the tipsy character at the moment, but this elf was not just some nobody. He made the fun start up again. Maybe this Lyo was a prince? If he was a prince... he could use a good cook! This was a good chance for Borris to get a job again!
"LYO! YOU A PRINCE?! I NEVER NEW! GRAAHAHAHAHA!" Shouted Borris as he slapped his newfound friend on the back (as high as he could reach). With that Borris kicked back the last of his ale and trodded back to check on his Goblin Chop Pie... and perchance grab another flagon of ale.

Ahlanna's mind churned quickly at the turn of events. 'This is a curious group of companions if I'd seen any. Now, why would there be a elvish prince accomanied by a dracon?' Leaving her prey to whimper at the loss of company, Ahlanna positioned herself closer to the door, so as to have a better vantage on the party. This party was just starting as well getting very interesting, and Ahlanna didn't have her mind on the immediate jubilations. And she intended to be there when the music started.

Eavan smiled as she moved back toward the kitchens and the merriment of Lyo and Borris. “I agree about men wholeheartedly.” She said as she quickly added. “My name is Eavan.” Eavan walked back into the kitchen, shooting Lyo a narrow eyed glare. “Now what are you two up to? Borris, how much of the keg have you finished?” She smelled the meat pie and had to admit to herself that it actually smelled good. She turned to glance back at the Draconian before turning her attention to Borris. “Good chef, how long pray tell until your delicacy is ready for consumption?”

Lyo looked majorly ticked off. Not her fault. Well, it would seem like it was at first. However, when one considered that she was left alone while he went off to do whatever, it was really his own fault. He knew of the curiosity of his own race - he should have figured something would happen. He was just lucky the elves didn't ask her to fight one of them or flap her wings indoors. Though she was a delicate creature by her own race's standards, she was still large in a small space such as this. Her wings would have buffeted quite a few about. However, the elves around her seemed to recover quickly as Lyo shouted for the fun to continue.
The dwarf was definitely drunk still. He roared louder than she did. Shaking her large head she followed Eavan. These elves had interesting names. Draconians tended to name their children more earthy names, after precious stones and flowers. Hence the name Agate. She sniffed, her long snout twitching as she smelled the meat in the pie. Flicking a long tongue out, she licked her silvery chops. Her tongue was more like a human's than a dragons - it was not forked, though it was slightly pointed. Her luminous eyes watched the dwarf carefully, ready to intervene if he went for another flagon of ale. He didn't need to be more drunk.

Seeing that the dwarf would become sufficiently friendly to those whom obliged his thirst, Ahlanna thought to find a friend in him and his mug. "Ahh, dwarf next round of drinks says I can keep up with ya, yur big bushy beard just be gettin in yur way," Ahlanna drawls out knowing that the dwarves usually hate the elvish high talk. She follows this statement with a big friendly wink, indicating that she knows she'll lose but is will to pay for that. As of now, the dwarf seems to know plenty and is the best friend Ahlanna could have. "I've got time to kill, since I don't have any work tonight, I'd be willing to test this legendary dwarvish stomach."

Borris wadled into the kitchen. He could smell that pie, and he bet his hungry friends could too. It would be a matter of minutes till the food was cooled and ready to eat. It was a good thing he always cooked in large portions! He had to wonder if there would still be enough for everyone, the little dragon could possibly eat half the pie herself, but the elves... well he'd be happy if they could eat a whole slice. "I'd be out drinkin yee any day o're the week lass, yee best be careful where yee be place'n yee bets. For the rest of yee, just yee wait! Da pie be ready in but a wag oor a dragoons tail!" With that said, Borris proceeded to place the large steaming pie on the table to cool, and began to trumble over to the keg in the corner. "Aye should be half a keg I suppose..." he muttered to himself.

Eavan drew a deep breath as the meat pie sat before them on the counter. Her mouth began to water as her stomach rumbled loudly. She placed a hand over it gingerly, smiling softly. It had been a while since she had actually slowed down to take in a decent meal. She grabbed plates and passed them between the others.
"Ah Borris, I do believe I owe you an apology. It smells absolutely delicious!" Eavan stood next to Agate, engaging the Dracon in what appeared to be girl talk about their companions as she watched Lyo and Borris. She also watched a woman who appeared to have taken and interest in Borris. Her training kept her always alert to what was happening around her and it wasn't something easily turned off.

Lyo took a deep breath as his eyes watered from listening to the drunk dwarf. He nearly doubled over when he was called a prince. Him of all people was not a prince. Liked and well known yes but a prince no. He just shrugged and tried to remember to correct him later, but know he had pie to eat even though they ate a couple minutes ago he would have one slice.
"Aye Borris this sure does smell delicious but I'm sorry to say I have already eaten, so I will have one slice only." Then he bent down to the dwarfs ear and whispered," I'm not a prince."

Some elf was attempting to get the dwarf to drink more, which instantly put her on the black list in Agate's mind. Her slightly slitted eyes narrowed, a small frown tipping down the corners of her mouth. Gracefully, weaving easily through any obstacles, the silvery creature followed the dwarf. Yes, the pie smelled delicious, but she was more concerned with keeping the dwarf from drinking himself into oblivion. Draconians did not get drunk because it was demeaning to themselves. Drunken people acted like fools and made themselves a matter of ridicule. Yes, the dwarf might not appreciate this at the moment, but in the long run he would thank her for saving him from even more embarrassment.
A large silver scaled hand reached out, the claws gripping the back of the dwarf's attire firmly without tearing it. Her arm rippling with muscle, Agate picked the dwarf up and turned him around. "No more," she growled, her voice low but not inherently dangerous. It was a warning that she would carry through with if he decided to be obnoxious. "You will want to remember the appreciation and joy of the elves when they sample your dish," she continued, giving him a little push out towards the crowd. A low rumble shook her throat as she turned her noble head towards the woman. Baring a set of glistening white, razor sharp pointed teeth, she glared viciously. Another warning.

Ahlanna smiled a cold smile, a chilling smile that had knowledge behind it that killing others comes easy as a breath to this one. All child-like innocence gone from her face and movements, all humor gone from her voice. "Do not be one to judge, I am afforded all the fun and joy of life I want. Even your kind would cringe at what I've done, and they did," she said with the eloquence and grace of acid sliding off of glass. "I am tired of others imposing righteousness upon others. I am here to enjoy myself, draconian, and you'd best let me be. This is not a threat or warning," she stated all the while smiling and drawing up to the draconian until she whispered in her ear,” I never give warnings."
With that, she put on a genuine smile and laughed with mirth at the antics of a few on the other side of the room. Turning, she winked at the draconian and indicated with her hand to come and share another slice of the pie. She continued through the party, poured someone's wine for them, with a sly touch on their hand and a coy smile. As she got close to the doors, she took up her previous seat and table, and indicated to the bar with a languid but beautiful twist of her hand and gentle crooking of her finger, backdropped with a easy-going smile and twinkling eyes that she wanted a pitcher of one of their better wine.

Well, Borris had no clue why everyone was so concerned about his drinks. The good news is his pie was a huge success. Everyone everywhere was enjoying their meal. Several were even going back for seconds. Looks like Borris should go ahead and make a second pie, and maybe a desert as well while he was at it. Possibly if the wee dragon wasn't watching he may be able to slip another flagon.
"It does me heart good to see yee all enjoy'n me meal so much. I best be back to making more and workin on a wee desert as well." With that Borris did his best to sneak back towards the kitchen, and maybe another flagon!

Eavan smiled captivatingly as she brought forth a pitcher of the fine wine from the private stock. She moved toward the woman, she had born witness to the subtle words and the loosely veiled threat given to Agate. She placed the pitcher on the table before her as her eyes held the woman in quiet menace. “Many in a place such as this are not what they would seem. Enjoy yourself as you deem fit but cross not the fine line of imposing your own righteous views on others.”
Eavan leaned closer to the woman, the pitcher sitting untouched on the rough hewn wood of the table suddenly began to shake and wobble under the strain of her controlled speech until the earthen crock shattered into a pile of rubble. The wine within it held its delicate shape despite no physical bounds to contain it. Eavan let the liquid fall in a rush to the table then increased its temperature until the liquid actually began to dance upon the wood sounding more like bacon fat on a hot skillet.
Without warning a blade shot from her hand, the distinct hum of metal through air ringing out before the sound of finality, metal finding its target and coming to rest within wood, reached her ears with the resounding thwump. Eavan’s smile barely turned the corner’s of her mouth as she withdrew slowly from the woman and turned to the rat, now pinned to the wooden base of the bar. Her aim was true despite never taking her eyes to her target. “Disgusting little creatures aren’t they.” She said as she moved to grasp the rat by the tail, removing her blade. “Seems as hard as I try to keep the cursed things to a minimum the rodents and other nuisances keep finding their way in.” She shrugged her shoulders as she threw the corpse through the window into the street outside.
“What’s a girl to do?” she mused as she moved to bring the woman another pitcher of wine. She set it down giving her a knowing, amused smile as she pulled up a seat and poured two glasses of the wine. “My name is Eavan and you would be?” Eavan’s mark of the shades peered just over the low neckline of her peasant blouse. Her white hair spilled carelessly about her shoulders as her eyes, blue with the use of her powers, slowly returned to their violet hue.

Lyo laughed, but his merriment was quickly stolen. He watched the exchange between Eavan and the mysterious figure. He knew what she was in an instant. She was a Shade, but the water thing took him a few more minutes. Then it hit she controlled the Element water like the heroes of old. H backed away from her for a moment and set the plate holding the pie he was going to give her. He didn't know if she could trust her now but she didn't do anything threatening to him. He sighed and knew he shouldn't be judgmental. He picked it up and walked over to her. " Thought you would like some pie!"

'This looks as good a place as any,' thought Richard as he approached the doors of the establishment. As he opened the doors a smile cracked his weather worn features as he took in the sights, sounds, and smells of average people just having a good time. 'It's been far too long since I've seen such merriment and peace,' he thought as he moved among the tables looking for a possible place to sit or lean, and searching for whomever was passing out that heavenly smelling pie. Then two women caught his eye, they seemed to be having an altercation of sorts. "Well, not total peace anyways," he chuckled.

Agate bared her teeth, a growl about to emit from her throat as the sly creature approached. She'd never gotten along well with females like this, the ones who looked for ways to take advantage of others. "Good," she snarled lowly, "because I do not heed them. You would be wise to silence thy golden tongue. What I do for the dwarf I do out of concern for him, not out of judgement. If you had friends, you would understand." Barring further discussion, she swept away, barely missing the elf with her wingtip. Getting clobbered by it would no doubt knock her over, which would amuse Agate greatly, but she did not want to cause any more disturbance.
To her great enjoyment, Eavan went to deal with her. Agate watched the exchange with great amusement, her keen ears catching every word. Yes, she decided, she liked Eavan a great deal. Her liking was only increased with that pretty parlor trick. Was she also an Elemental? That stupid Rider didn't know what he was talking about. Here now were two Elementals she'd seen thus far. Her bright green gaze flickered to Lyo - he appeared to have seen it as well. He looked a bit put off, however. Odd. But he apparently got over it as he approached Eavan once more. Her head swiveled on her long, graceful neck as a voice in front of her spoke. "Peace, it would seem, is not forthcoming even in an elven village," she mused from the shadows where she stood.

Simon walked up to the entrance of the bar. It looked like this was the right spot. It took over two months of hard work but things were finally ready. "May as well walk in and get myself a drink I think." Simon stepped inside the bar and looked around. It was pretty much elf everywhere the eye could see. There were a few odd exceptions, even a few that may be something special. It seems there was some little conflict going on between two girls at the bar itself, but it wasn't his problem. This hulk of what was apparently an elf was somewhat in the way. But with a tap and a few words of polite pardoning he slipped past. It seemed his lineage must not be too apparent, or too well concealed behind the months of dirt, as no one seemed to take interest in him as he sat himself down at the bar. "Excuse me, I'd like a nice cold glass of milk if you please?" He asked to the bartender. His every movement was kicking up small clouds of dust. Things were so nice here on the surface, it would be a shame he had to go back to the ground so soon. "Ah well, plenty of time for site seeing later." Simon whispered to himself.

Richard felt a small tap on his shoulder and looked to see a man who wished to get by. "Oh. Sorry 'bout that," he said as he let the man pass, 'I've forgotten how big I am.' "Perhaps I should find a place to sit now," he murmured. He scanned the room once more for a place to sit and a piece of that pie. "Ah ha! There it is!" he thought out loud as he grabbed a plate and helped himself to a slice of the pie. "Now for a place to sit."
He moved towards the table with the two confrontational women, as it had the only easily accessible open seat. He took a bite of the pie as he was sitting, "Mmmm, good! You ladies should relax. This is no place for a fight of words or fists. You're young only once." Richard points at a dwarf holding a flagon, "So eat, drink, and be merry like our solid little friend there!"

Laughing loud and merrily, she giggled at Agate,"Oh do be careful draconian, I know that your kind aren't noted for grace, but those things on your back can become quite hampering I imagine. Then Ahlanna leaned over the table,"I'm Ahlanna, and nice to meet you Eavan." She leaned forward enough to allow her coller to reveal her mark of the Shade's, with the denotations of rank, achievements, and over 20 years of service to show. "And you'd be wise not to use triffling tricks, because as you've said yourself, we're not all we seem to be."
Ahlanna turns, and smiles at Richard,"In respect for the elder, good sir, I will. In fact, if you wouldn't mind the company? Can we get our wine over here please?" She stands up with the grace and experience of an elf her age, walks over to Richard and leads him to another open table. She casually tosses over her shoulder,"Oh, and if you were my apprentice, I'd have you retrained, you weren't accurate enough." She then sits and gets comfortable, starting small talk with Richard as if she didn't have a greater care in the world.

Eavan smiled as Ahlanna stood and left with the man that attempted to soothe the seeming conflict between them. Her time as prisoner of the Void had taught her patience and that lesson was paying off in spades in her current situation. She nodded to Ahlanna and smiled warmly as she rose. She turned and took the pie from Lyo. “Thank you kind sir. I have quite an appetite now.” She dug into the meat pie heartily as she looked at those now milling about them.
“Funny how no one is truly what they seem isn’t.” she said to no one in particular. Her mind drifted back to the months spent learning about her power. The lessons were hard learnt but if she had nothing else to say about her time with the Void, it was that he was an excellent teacher. His methods and the torture she endured at his hands made her stronger and taught her more than she had realized at the time. Her escape had not been easy nor had the subsequent flight. She smiled again as she realized that this place would hold no respite, no recovery for her. Just more of the same.
