Hours ago..... Lyo's sword hand snapped up to block a chop to his head and with a twist he spun and moved the sword outward. With that the dagger in Lyo's left hand thrust forward looking for the side of his armor but was swiped away by another downward blocking short sword. With both of his hands swept out Lyo thinking on his feet and jumped into a back flip. When his body was full horizontal his feet lashed out and hit the elf in his breastplate. Lyo heard the,"Whoof," of air and grinned in satisfaction as he landed nimbly in a crouch. Even before he fully righted himself his dagger whipped out and barely passed the blocking short sword and the blunted point hit the breastplate."He got you that time General," one soldier from the crowd roared happily.
"Aye he did and I think that makes it ten to one me," General roared back but no anger was in his voice only laughter.
"Yeah but he still beat you once," the soldier yelled back grinning the whole time.
General laughed and wiped the sweat from his head."That he did but know its time for our leave."
Now....... Lyo laughed along with some of his friends as they walked down the paths looking for a nice tavern to spend the evening. They all smelled with various spices and were washed in preparation for tonight. They all loved what they did but when they were on leave for a day they partied and had as much fun as possible before training tomorrow.

A few hours earlier......
The wind in her favor - as always thanks to her powers - Agate made good time in her flight. Not like she was really traveling anywhere in the first place, but it was nice to make good progress over the middle grounds between cities. Although she streaked across the deep blue sky like a falling star, her wings beat in a regular and almost lazy fashion. Every once in a while she would just coast, propelling herself along on a strong headwind. To her left were mountains; below her lay forests with the occasional blue sparkle of water peeking through. Agate saw evidence of life - paths showed brown in the green of the trees, houses showed through the canopy. It would be twilight in a few hours, so Agate decided now was a good a time as any to stop for a rest.
Releasing her control of the wind, the Dracon spiraled downwards on her huge silvery wings. A lake nearby provided the perfect place to bathe - traveling did tend to make one very dusty. By the side of the lake she took off her belt and small carrying pouch. No one seemed to be around, she should be safe enough from theft. One wonderful bath later, Agate dried herself in the sun. Her silver scales shone like cold fire as she stretched out, enjoying the last rays of the sun. Slowly her eyes closed.
Present time.....
After her nap, Agate decided to find the nearest town. She folded her wings in and readjusted her black leather pants and top. The bare blade of her long knife winked in the setting sun as she walked through the forest, her bare feet silent. Agate was silent and sleek as she navigated the forest. Finally she came upon a small grouping of buildings. Her almost glowing green eyes surveyed the scene. A group of young looking men passed and she hissed in a small breath, her eyes widening. So elves now was it? She'd never really met one before. They moved with fluid grace, young faces laughing. She caught a whiff of them - they smelled good. Agate decided they looked friendly enough. Stepping out of the shadows, she stood behind the group. "What place is this called?" she asked them, her voice huskily feminine with a slight growly undertone. Behind her a long sinuous tail waved slightly as she tapped her metallic claws against her waist.

Fayr grinned as one of his friends imitated one of the annoying officers and he got the voice perfectly right. Times like this he knew he made the right choice in life. The way of the warrior was him. Even with him smelling of pure vanilla and his friends smelled like other spices they were warriors. Lyo and his friends whipped around at the voice and some of his friends pulled out daggers when they saw the Dracon and each whispered the name in cadence. Lyo had only never met a Dracon before and was very curious when seeing this one. He only knew they were a secretive race and were like humans except for the looks. He could see though she was female and that she appeared friendly. "You are in a city of the Elven Empire(sorry don't know a name, lol),"Lyo was the one to speak and felt like needed to alleviate the situation. Lyo grabbed his friends feathered hat accompanied by a complaint from the owner and with a flick of his wrist it rolled down his shoulder until he popped it up,and it landed gracefully on his head."I am Lyo and these are my friends and we are all glad to meet you acquaintance." As his friends introduced themselves Fayr flicked the hat and with a low bow he swept it in front of him as if to say,"After you." His friends laughed and Mynez took his hat back with a grin.

Agate heard the whispers and flared her wings a bit. She didn't mind being the center of attention - it was a rare trait for a Dracon to be non secretive. With her bright silver scales, recently polished, and luminescent green eyes, she was a striking figure. Though she was female and most females were smaller than males, she measured even with the willowy elves. Elven Empire, a most interesting place. Heavily forested, green, lush. Agate thought she'd like it here. True, there weren't many open grounds for flying, but maybe she could practice the finer points of wind control.
Lyo it was. Interesting fellow. He seemed to recover from his surprise. She bared a pointed grin at the elves with daggers. "I would suggest returning your daggers to their sheathes," she said in a friendly manner, "for I mean you no harm." The dragonish look about her was fierce still, even with the smile. She didn't really think they seriously wanted to fight a Dracon. "I find myself in need of a place to stay," she continued, "could you direct me to the nearest inn? You may call me Agate." Her tail weaved behind her as she watched them, keenly interested in this old yet young looking race.

Lyo smiled again and as his friends looked to each other then to Lyo since he was the one that seemd to fully trust this Dracon which wasn't true, but he didn't see any harm in her. He gave them a sharp nod that was barely detectable and they slipped the daggers away to unseen spots ready to take it out and attack if need be. Most of them had fought Dracons before and one against a dozen was.. well easier. "Ah, Agate it seems Lady Luck has driven you to our hands since we are heading to one of the greatest inns in this humble city." Lyo's eyes quickly met each elves' eyes and they shrugged so he took that as a go ahead."Will you join us," his voice ringing melodiously and full of cheer.

((OOC: Thanks....it's just time and practice, really. Try to type as much as you can and you'll get there. In the future, though, please don't post in a thread unless you have a post to make as well. Thanks!))
Agate knew they had not relaxed. They were still tensed, though the blades were now concealed, and ready to fight her if need be. A small knowing smile, the type that usually annoyed people, tipped up the scaly corner of her mouth. Twelve they may have numbered, but they would find it difficult to fight her and win. Hopefully it would not come to that. She didn't want to start any more wars between the races - there was enough of that silliness transpiring elsewhere. Overall she was a laid back Dracon and would forgive a good deal before coming truly angered. If angered, however, it would be nigh upon impossible to stave her wrath. A Dracon was not a good enemy to have, especially when it was female. Even more especially when she happened to control the wind itself. Not that she was going to tell them that. That little tidbit she kept to herself.
"Lady Luck indeed," returned Agate with a slight inclination of her slender head, "or maybe just chance. Time will tell. Yes, I shall join you in your venture through the city, though I fear I may cause a bit of a stir." Grinning, teeth flashing deadly white in the sun, she tucked her wings in tightly. "These are troubled times - I would not want to start a fight while a guest in this city."

occ:I agree please post instead of occs. Lyo's eyes never left the Dracon. He was the one to open up but he wasn't going to let his guard down. This one just seemed to confident around well trained elven warriors. He would watch her carefully but not threateningly. He shook his hair and again the smell of vanilla filled the air along with sweet sounding music from the heavenly voices of the elves.
"Lady Luck and chance are one and the same since they both have the same results," he laughed and pointedly shook his head toward Hyrue to which everyone laughed to a joke they all knew. "Don't worry no one will openly care of your race so lets get going." A few minutes later they came to the Singing Blade and Lyo opened the door with a flourish and dipped into an extravagant bow. His friends snickered and flowed in.

Mmm vanilla. Agate liked the smell of the stuff, but she didn't really have a sweet tooth. She liked meat. Thick, juicy, savory meat. Preferably warm. Though related to the big carnivorous beasties that would choke down a whole cow without stopping to chew, Dracons had inherited a more civilized manner of dining. Yes, she could kill a deer or something easily. If she was starving, she would eat it raw. However, she did skin it and she preferred to light a fire and cook said deer. Hopefully the inn would have good food as well. Knowing the elves (though she did know precious little) they would have good food. These men seemed eager enough to get there.
True to Lyo's word, there were no problems upon their short journey to the inn. Yes, there were curious eyes. Agate could feel them taking in her silvery form, her black leather clothing, her wings and pointed snout. She was somewhat used to it; even among her own race the silver scales were a rarity. Her own kind also looked at her with a slightly reverent look - they knew her as the Wind Elemental, an even rarer occurrence. She'd gotten used to the looks and whispers. When they arrived at the inn, she couldn't help but feel that Lyo was being overly friendly. The small snickers of his friends confirmed that. Was there something amusing about her race that they acted as such. Her green eyes narrowed ever so slightly as she stepped in after them. She would be watching her back.

Lyo stepped in after Agate came walked through and smiled at every one in attendance and waved away any questions with a look and a smile. They all knew him and trusted him so they averted their gazes and they cared no more. "Hey Yoruy get us the usual and an extra plate for our friend." He watched as his cousin sighed and went in the back to get the food and drinks. He sat down with his friends at the table and smiled as he stared at Agate not noticing her suspicion."I hope you don't mind me ordering for you, but I know of this place and cuisine so I would think you would like what we have."

In the dim interior of the building the silver Dracon's eyes seemed to glow bright green from within. She quickly adjusted to the light change and could see that Lyo seemed to be rather popular. He warded off any curious questions, though she knew that only heightened the interest in her, and he seemed to know the innkeeper rather well. He ordered right away, to Agate's appreciation, and they sat down. "As long as it's meat," she said with a grin. The light played across her razor sharp pointed teeth as they glinted white in her jaw. Agate enjoyed smiling - it was supposed to be a sign of friendliness, but in her case it was also a bit of a reminder to people. Friendly though she may be, she was still a very animalistic female and would not hold back ferocity if crossed. Hopefully it wouldn't come to that.

Lyo smiled as she asked her question."Yes we will have meat." He studied her for a moment and noticed her eyes."Your eyes are quite unique." He smiled to show he didn't mean anything insulting. He laughed as his friends made some jokes and joined into a song with them. Their voices filled the tavern with a beautiful melody.
"Foods ready!" Lyo turned to see his cousin come out with some trays filled with a steaming sew and a leg of lam for each. Behind him others carried a warm cider."Time to dig in,"Lyo roared. As the food was set on the table they attacked it ravenously.

"Hm yes, even among my own race I am a slight oddity," she returned, scratching her nose with a silver tipped claw. If only he knew how odd. Her coloring, silver with those brilliantly green eyes, was nothing compared to the element factor. She would not reveal this if it wasn't necessary, however. The elves were fortunately not nosy. Agate did not enjoy nosy people. In fact, she quite despised them. Lyo and his friends seemed to be a happy bunch, thankfully. She tapped her claws on the wooden table as they sang, her tail twitching slightly in tune. She had tucked it around her feet so it was not dangling out in the open. Youngling Dracons quickly learned to be mindful of their tails, especially in large public places.
Agate smelled the food before Lyo saw it. Her nose twitched, a slight sheen of saliva forming on her needle like teeth. Her large head turned to see food coming their way. It looked - and smelled - quite excellent. Apparently elves, like her own race, did not wait on ceremony to consume their meals. Agate kept up with them easily, her large silver scaled hands reaching out to ensnare the largest leg. Her snout dug into it, ripping off huge chunks for her to swallow whole. Within minutes she had eaten it down to the bone, which she proceeded to crack open. The marrow, the slightly gooey inside, was a real treat to have. After worrying away at the bone and getting all the marrow, she ate the bone as well with a few juicy crunches. Tasty.

Lyo quickly dug through his lamb leg, but left some meat on the bone. He looked up at Agate to find her downing the marrow."Agate we have plenty of food you don't need to eat every morsel!" Lyo chuckled as he said that and his friends joined in. "Though if thats how you want it go ahead."
Lyo shrugged and picked up the steaming cider. The steam was still flowing in great quantities and Lyo breathed it all in. The ingredients of apple, cinnamon, honey, milk, and a tinge of wine all greeted his nose and he let himself have a contented sigh. He took a long sip and licked his lips of any remaining cider but there was none. Like most elves everything he did was delicate and not a droplet was out of place. "This is some good stuff!"
"Agreed!" The whole tavern replied to his yell and raised their mugs in silent toast to the cider.

Looking up, Agate licked her chops. "It is the Dracon way to eat all of the animal - otherwise the parts are wasted. There are many nutrients in the bone itself," she informed them. Even the elves, the presumed wise ones, were apparently not as resourceful as her own race. At least not in food matters. Her own large hands - for she thought of them as such - encircled a mug in front of her. They were like hands, not the paws of true animals, though they did have large claws on the tips instead of fingernails. Also, instead of skin, they were coated in a heavy layer of tiny fine scales that gleamed brightly in the lights. It was silky smooth in a reptilian way and Agate found it quite appealing to the eye.
Taking a tentative sniff, she raised the mug to her mouth. A tongue, crimson red, flicked out and licked the edge of the liquid. It was warm, fruity, and sweet. Tasted good, though definitely not her usual fare. Dracons didn't have huge sweet spots. Still, it was nice every once in a while. So Agate raised a toast with the rest of them, then took a small mouthful. The warmth flowed down her long neck and settled in her stomach. Her bright green eyes narrowed to pleased slits. It tasted nice. Downing the rest in one gulp without spilling a drop, she picked up a bowl of soup and carefully began to sip at it. Instead of using a spoon, she just lifted the bowl to her muzzle and drank it. Her kind saw little need for silverware.

Lyo shrugged nonchalantly at her comment though in truth he felt it was a insult and it stung just the same. He felt as if this Dracon was trying to show him her race was more resourceful and were better survivalist. "Ah us elves do not waste any of this food either. Some craftsmen can use the bones to make anything we need, but we find that we don't have to eat the bone inside when so much food is aplenty around us." Lyo shook his hair in indifference trying to wipe away any negative energies and soon he was his normal self.
He set to eating his food so hat they could leave. He picked up large spoon. He admired the beauty of the device for a moment and sighed when he saw Agate completely ignore the wondrous silverware actually made from a gleaming silver. He shook his head and dug into the stew. It was filled with a steaming broth that was made from deer, duck, and roast boar. It filled his body with strength and a deep warmth. He let out an audible sigh and his friends laughed. They were all done and seemed to be waiting for him to finish. He knew a tavern was all well and good but it was time to hit the clubs(dances or whatever the elves call them, lol). "Okay guys we can head out now!" They practically ran him over getting to the door and heading out. "Agate you want to come with us and join our little party?" He wondered if she would come because he truly wondered if she would be okay with out them. She was completely ignorant to their rules and codes and he feared she would attract the wrong type of attention. Worse he feared she would anger someone important. She didn't want the Shades to get involved.

The elf seemed to pause a bit at her comment on food, then went on to explain the elf way of doing things. She shrugged, her wings flaring a bit as she did so. "There is much, it seems, that we do not know about each other's species," she allowed. Draconians felt no need for many of the amenities the other races enjoyed. Silverware, for one. Downing the rest of the bowl, she grinned once more. Meaty and delicious, the soup was quite the treat. Most Dracon food was very solid, mostly made up of meats and various greens they found around their lands. Mostly meat, however. It was a part of their animal heritage that stayed with them.
A party? It seemed like the elves thought they were fun by the way they stampeded out of the inn. "A party?" she repeated, cocking her large, and she thought noble, head. "I suppose....it's just that I might need some explanation on what to do." Admitting this was a bit difficult for Agate, but not as difficult as wandering into an unknown gathering.

Lyo thought over her question and the tips of his large ears quivered in amusement as a smirk dawned on his always grinning face. He didn't know what the Dracons considered what a party was so this might be different than what she would consider fun. After that thought came to mind he wondered if Dracons danced and if they did would it be acceptable and not cause a ruckus(i love that word, lol). He shook his head and his light brown eyes showed true wonderment. " Well you could say we dance, sing, drink, eat, act like fools, and uhmm...........some of the guys hang out with girls." Lyo blushed at the last part and a little smile decorated his eyes and face. "Most of all though we party!" He roared the last part trying to dispel any nervousness in Agate. He got up from his seat and walked over to the door and opened ti to see his friends waiting, and then he stopped,"You coming or not?"

Dancing? Singing? Both of these things were not activities that Draconians did. Yes, Agate knew the meaning of the words, but she did not know how to do them. With her long and sinuous tail and giant wings, dancing would no doubt be a terrible idea. The closest thing Draconians had to dancing was flight, and any sort of dancing flight was in form of a challenge. Dexterity in the air was something all Draconians prided themselves on. Singing, now.....well Agate didn't exactly have a lilting singsong voice. It was an odd mix of husky femininity and an animalistic growl. Singing was not what her race was designed for.
Still, it was not in her generally friendly nature to turn down hospitality. "Yes, I am coming," she agreed, standing to follow. She kept her wings tucked in tightly, which was a bit uncomfortable but worth avoiding the hassle of navigating small spaces with loose wings. Once out of the door, her bright green eyes adjusted to the darkness, pupils widening until her eyes were almost black. Her first party....this should be interesting.

Lyo hoped this Dracon wouldn't cause an uproar and gather more attention than necessary. He knew she could probably keep herself to herself but elves had a high curiosity factor. They always wanted to see something or do something they haven't seen or done. He laughed out loud when he thought of Agate being surrounded by a group of interested elves all wanting to see her fly.
Lyo and his friends led her to a large doomed area with the sign above it saying the Twirling Rose. It was carved on beautiful pine with sparkling red, gold, and green dust coating the words. He nodded for his friends to go in and set the crowd up for what was coming. He smiled at Agate and put his hand up as a sign to wait for one of his friends to say its okay. His ears twitched in nervousness but his fears were calmed when Mynez came out and motioned for them to come in before he ran back in to the voice of cheers. Lyo's face exploded into a smile and danced inside and waved at people he knew and winked at some women near bye.
