Stepping up taller, on her tip toes, Ahlanna impersonated the Voids clipped tongue with praticed perfection. "Woman," Ahlanna boomed out, and swung her hand to hit Eavan in the face just hard enough to get a audible smack out of it, "you will address me properly and befitting of my stature! Don't stand there like you're my equal, get down! Maybe I've been treating you too nice, and this is the return in loyalty i get?" Turning, Ahlanna scowled at Thalmor, and put the toe of her left boot into his shin. She jabbed a finger into his chest, hoping he would get the message and learn from his mistake.

Eavan watched as Ahlanna perfectly imitated the Void. Her head turned as Ahlanna hit her, the skin already reddened as she frowned at Ahlanna mouthing a silent ‘What the hell?’ She shook her head softly as she responded the expected reply. “Forgive me My Lord and Sovereign.” Eavan paused, listening intently then turned to them as she heard the Orc leaving the corridor with bodies in tow.
She watched Ahlanna kick and poke Thalmor in reprimand and had to stifle a laugh. “You could have just hit the back of your hand you know.” She said raising a hand to touch her reddened cheek. Her mouth broke into a smile as her eyes narrowed in soft laughter. “I guess you did owe me that after that one night in the tavern at…” she caught herself as she broke off her comment. “never mind. Another story for another time.”
Eavan became suddenly serious as she looked intently at her. “Ahlanna, since the Archsages sealed Morphs away, there should be records. Maybe the key to this lies within the ancient scripts. As far as his plans…” she turned to look at Thalmor. “What can you tell us?’

Thalmor shook his head. "I don't know much. He has Orc Mages scrambling to find a few things, scouringg books for anything, but so far, nothing has been found. I don't really know exactly how far along he is in actually succeeding. For all we know, he may be as far now as he was when we were brought back 2 years ago."

Smiling, Ahlanna covered her mouth with her empty hand trying to cover her laughter. "That's cause all the real mages only meet in one place...but few know how to get there," she said with tears starting to form in her eyes,"and I'll admit...*hehe* it is a VERY foolproof way to keep anyone and everyone out. These mages are from every walk of life, and I mean every." She was now holding her stomach as well. "Ok ok, before I lose it, let me write up a message for my man and send that off; give Eavan where she can contact me, I'll be in the local area and will come whenever possible. Is there anything we need to do?" She looked between Eavan and Thalmor, her spirits now lifted from just remembering...him. "Oh and I'll teach you how to get in touch with him."

Eavan watched her friend smiling as she saw Ahlanna’s amusement. Her brow raised when she mentioned her man. “Is your man close as well?” She moved to the desk as she spoke, pulling the drawer and removing paper and pen. She held them to Ahlanna and moved to the basin of water on the dresser. She dipped her hands into the cool water raising them to her face. It had been an extremely long day. “I don’t know what else to tell you at the moment Ahlanna.” Eavan picked up the towel and dried her face turning to the others. “I really appreciate your help. It is good to have a friend who knows the truth. To everyone else I know I now appear as a traitor to our cause. You are the only one besides Thalmor who knows the truth.”
She moved back closer to Thalmor wrapping an arm around his waist as she laid her head on his shoulder. "If it wasn't for Thalmor I don't think I could make it." She looked at him with eyes full of love. "There is nothing I will not do to help you." she told him softly.

Thalmor nodded, putting and arm around Eavan as well. "Thank you," he said, smiling and turning his head to kiss her on the forehead,"I appreciate it, Eavan. I know me and Gorbluk couldn't do it by ourselves. Well, we coudld, but it'd take a LOT longer. "We've already been working together for a year and a half now. I can tell you, we're still fairly far from figuring otu what I need to get rid of the Void. He's a great guy, Gorbluk. He isn't at all what I expected an orc to be."

"I don't know what you're stupid orc has to do with this," Ahlanna said, exasperated with these non-direct answers and odd off-shoots of statements she was getting from him. "Enough girl thingy-footing around, I'll just contact her if I need or find anything." She quickly scribbled instructions on first how to get a hold of her, then how to get a hold of an archmage of the Assylimath. She handed the note off and started to leave.

Eavan took the paper from Ahlanna. She held her hand briefly within hers. "You will be close?" she shifted her eyes for a moment then returned them to look at her friend. "It is comforting to know that a friend is near." She released her hand and smiled softly. "Thank you Ahlanna. I know you put yourself in grave danger. You can move freely whereas I cannot but do not think that I take the danger you place yourself in lightly. There is no one else I would trust as I do you old friend. Now," she smiled wider. "go see that man of yours and take care of the flush on those beautiful cheeks of yours." She winked at her then turned to Thalmor. "He will be waking soon."

Thalmor sighed and nodded as Ahlanna left. "Yes, he will," he said, looking in Eavan's eyes,"But, at least we have some new allies, huh? Maybe things are starting to turn around."

Eavan gave a little sigh as she watched her friend leave. "Yes. Things are looking up but you must leave. It would do our cause no good to have him wake up and find you here with me." She moved closer to him wrapping her arms around his waist as she pulled him closer to her. "I wish you could stay." Her eyes looked lovingly into his as the soft smile turned the corners of her mouth up slightly.

Thalmor smiled back at Eavan as he wrapped one arm around her, brushing the hair out of her face with the other. "There's nothing else I want more in the world," he said softly and quietly, giving her a soft kiss,"and I'll make sure I don't have to leave you again soon. All I ask for is time." He gave her one more soft kiss and then pulled himself from her, moving back into the shadows and shadow-porting himself back to his private chambers and laying down, falling to sleep quickly.

Eavan smiled clutching her hand to her heart as she watched him leave. "Soon my love. Soon." She moved back to the bed and laid down letting sleep take her. Her day would begin all to soon.

The Void walked his way over to Eavan's chambers an hour after sunrise, flanked by two guards the whole way to the room. As he reached the chambers, the guards to her room opened the door, bowing to him and giving him the customary response. As he walked into the room, he saw her still asleep. "Wake her up!" he said to his guards as they entered. They immediately moved over to a bowl of cold water, picked it up, and dumped it all on top of her. "Good morning, Eavan!" The Void said,"You need to learn how to wake up on time! Now get dressed! We have things to do!"

Eavan jerked quickly, her body tensing from the feel of the cold water against her skin. She came up wildly, knocking the heads of the two guards together before she regained her composure upon hearing the Void's voice. "Yes my Lord and Master." she said dropping obediently before him.

The Void sighed. "You still cannot get it right," he said, cocking an eyebrow at her,"Fine, then. You need some instruction. Dentrak!" One of his guards came forward, saying,"Yes, my Lord and Sovereign?" "Show Eavan just how wrong she is, Dentrak. Be somewhat gentle, but....have fun with it, too," The Void said, grinning maliciously. "Yes, My Lord and Sovereign," Dentrak said, bowing and moving over to Eavan. He didn't want to do this to anyone. When The Void commanded someone be 'taught', he meant they were to be beaten, and he hated having to do it to someone who was unarmed in front of him. He did the best to show the woman he was sorry for what he was about to do with his eyes as he raised his fist, bringing it down to connect with her face.

Eavan reeled from the strike as the fist hit her square across the mouth. She looked up into the guards eyes, seeing the sentiment within them. Her own flashed with her stubbornness. She rose to her feet, blood trickled slowly down her chin. "Forgive me my Lord and Sovereign." Her voice held her disdain as she looked into the Void's eyes....Thalmor's eyes. She quickly caught herself as she looked at him. "What is it you would have me do?"

"Stand up and get dressed, for one," The Void said,"And clean yourself up. Dentrak, I want you to stay here with her and escort her to the coliseum when she's ready. Do not let her out of your sight for an instance." "Yes, my Lord and Sovereign," Dentrak said, bowing to The Void as he left. When the doors were closed again, Dentrak bowed his head over at Eavan and said,"I apologize for what I did earlier. I did it only because I had to."

Eavan looked at Dentrak and smiled slightly. "And that is why you still live." she told him as she moved to put on her lightweight leather fighting attire. When she finished, she went to the washroom and washed the blood from her lip. The swelling was well underway but she ignored it. She walked back out and looked to him. "This appropriate dress for what's to come?"

Dentrak nodded. "Most definitely, Lady Eavan," he said, giving her a small smile,"He plans on pitting you against a trio of Cyclopi in there with no weapons. I know you're an Elementals and all, but.....I don't know. These three are particularly large and brutal. They took out half a regiment of men before they were captured. "You'll need to be careful out there, Lady Eavan. I, for one, wouldn't want to see you die. You're a kind woman, from what I hear, and I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you."

Eavan smiled at Dentrak. "I am no lady but thank you." She frowned as she thought about her opponents. "What is he playing at?" she asked aloud. She took a deep breath then looked back at Dentrak. "Lead on my friend. Don't worry about me. I seem to have luck with me these days." She grinned slightly as she waited for him to lead her.
