Kia surrendered to Shero’s strong embrace as he pulled her closer to him. She looked deeply into his eyes, the smile still upon her face. The scent of his skin filled her senses as the warmth of his body burned steadily against her. She sighed softly, her mind embracing the feelings within her as she wrapped her arms around him. Her hand softly caressed his back trailing up until her hand rested against his cheek. She stroked him tenderly with her thumb as she held him within her gaze.

Shero smiled like a foolish young boy. "You asked me before if I had a mate, how about you?" he asked as he brought his face close to hers. She smelled sweetly of the wild. Just breathing her in was like traveling the forest for weeks, the sensation was... intoxicating. Gently he kissed her cheek.

Kia looked into his eyes. A question rose over her expression. “Would it matter to you if I had?” She asked softly. She gave a slight shake of her head. “No there has never been one in my life in that way. You are the first that I have considered as companion.” She smiled softly as she moved to press her lips softly to Shero’s. His lips were warm and soft as she felt the warmth of the fire upon her. She pulled back again so that he could see her smile. “That was nice.” She told him as she laid her head against his chest.

Even her kisses were wild... this would be a fun detour after all. Shero held Kia close and pulled the blanket over them both. "I wonder where that star will drag us off to?" Shero whispered as he stared off into the night. Where would they find their next adventure after finding the young girl a home? Only the elements could know for sure. "Sleep well Kia..." said shero as he kissed her on top of her head, "sleep well." He then laid his head back down and closed his eyes for the night.

Kia took a deep breath as she closed her eyes. Her hand sat lightly on his chest as she felt the sweet embrace of sleep take her. Her dreams were at long last peaceful as she lay within the strong embrace of Shero. His presence brought her solace and warmth. She felt his breath against her skin as he slept. A smile crept over her lips as she nestled in closer to him.

Shero slept that night without the plagues of nightmeres of the past. Although the night was blissful the morning was... hectic. Shero awoke the the roar of a concerned and angry dragon quickly approaching, shortly followed by a growling wolf and a crying hysterical young girl. "Embers!" Shero swore, "DO YOU HAVE TO FREAK OUT AUTOMATICLY YOU BIG BABY OF A LIZARD!" Shero shouted to Flamie. "Do YOU HAVE TO BE injured EVERYTIME I LEAVE?!" Roared back Flamie as he circled around for a landing. "You blasted lizard you're scaring the girl, and you rudely interupted me and our new travel partner!" "GIRL?! TRAVEL PARTNER?! I KNEW IT! You have officially gone insane! I thought you were crazy enough when you joined forces with the bad guys, but now THIS?!" Roared Flamie with a trumpet of flame into the air.

Kia glared up at the dragon as the girl screamed. She shot a quick look and thought to Kyra and the wolf quickly quieted but maintained her watch over the large dragon. Kia gathered the girl in her arms, rocking her and stroking her hair softly. “It’s alright darling. The dragon is just scared for his friend. He’s just being loud. Don’t be scared.”
She looked at Shero then at the dragon. Kia covered the girls ears as she raised her voice to the others. “Dragon, land and stay your calm! Please. You frighten his child.”

Flamie landed and was taken aback, Shero was stifeling his laughter. "I... I apologize miss?" Flamie asked as he bowed his head. "She is Kia, she's... my mate and our traveling companion for now." Shero spoke with a grin and a wink. "YOU'RE WHAT?!" roared Flamie, at which point completely embaressed he whispered (as much as a dragon can) to Kia and the child, "I appologize for my out burst." "Flamie did you happen to see any villages on the way over here?" asked Shero. "What are you crazy!" hissed Flamie, "You want to take them with us, you know how dangerous that is?" "We are taking a detour Flamie, the Void gave us no timeline, we were simply asked to find the elementals and bring them to him, we are simply searching for the elementals in a more leisurely pace."
"Hmmph, you are mad indeed. Yes, there was a village a few miles up the road... why do you ask?" asked Flamie as his eyes narrowed on Shero's grinning face.

Kia burst out laughing as Shero explained her to Flamie. The dragon’s reaction making her laughter ring out longer. “Shero is fine. He is in one piece despite saving the child. We need to take her to a village unless you wish to adopt her dragon?” Kia’s eyes sparkled with amusement and the child stirred against her arms. The little girl made her way cautiously to the dragon, reaching out a small hand to touch the smooth scales of his leg lightly. She giggled at the feel and ran back to stand behind Shero’s leg, peeking around him to steel glances.

Flamie was flustered. If a dragon could blush he was doing it now. "That would be impossible, taking care of Shero is a full time job as it is. Besides, what is the little girls name?" asked Flamie as he TILTED his head to the side. "That's right, we don't know your name yet little one." said Shero as he looked down at the little girl hiding behind him. The poor little girl blushed and burried her face behind Shero's leg while shaking her head. "You mean you don't have a name??" asked Shero, "That is a shame. Hmmm... perhaps we should name you then hmm?" "Don't let Shero name you," said Flamie, "just look at what he named a mighty white dragon, Flamie... as if I'm some pet."

Kia laughed again as she moved closer to Shero. “Flamie is a fine name. You are a mighty enough beast, magnificent and grand in stature. You carry it well.” She put a hand softly in the small of Shero’s back. “I think you know a fine name for such a beautiful little girl Shero.” She nodded softly before leaning to kiss him lightly on the cheek.

Shero nodded in agreement. "How about we name you Kira, little one?" The little girl looked up at Shero and Kia, her face beaming and nodded happily. "Very well then, Kira it is." Said Shero as he picker her up. "How about you take a ride on good ole Flamie here on our way to your new home?" Asked Shero. The younge Kira nodded happily and was all smiles as she was carried over to the back of Flamie. "Are we going to your home Shero?" asked the little Kira. "No, I'm sorry dear, but me and Kia and Flamie will be going into some dangerous places not good for a young girl like you." Poor little Kira was saddened by this as she sat on the dragon's back.

Kia smiled, nodding in approval. “Well done.” She told him softly. She walked over and put her hand lightly on the little girls leg. “We can come see you from time to time if you wish.” She told her as she smiled at Flamie and Shero.

"I suppose we should be on our way then?" with a snap the fire from last night went out without a single bit of heat remaining. "Flamie, you are pack mule, giddy up." teased Shero. Flamie grunted and little Kira chimed in, "Don't be so mean to Flamie, Shero. Flamie is a very handsom dragon." she said as she patted Flamie's back. With that done, the group gathered their belongings and proceeded towards the villiage on foot, talking all along the way. The woods this morning were filled wih laughter and joy as they traveled to find a home for little Kira.

Kia couldn’t remember ever having so much fun traveling. She looked as the village came into view. She recognized this place. She had once helped a couple in the birth of their child here. Kia smiled as she grabbed Shero by the arm. “Wait here.” She kissed him quickly and hurried off to the couple’s home.
Kia returned with an a man, woman and a little girl about Kira’s age. “Kira this is Sarah, Isaac and Elizabeth. Elizabeth is your age. They would like for you to be part of their family if you would like to.” Kia stood back as the family approached Kira. Elizabeth held her doll up to Kira as she sat on the dragons back. “Are you my new sister?” she asked her softly as she smiled.

Little Kira slid down Flamies back and took hold of the doll and looked to Shero and Kia. Shero nodded and smiled to Kira, who burst into smile and nodded her head. "Yes! I'm your new sister and this is my dragon friend!" The two young girls played around happily with the large white dragon. It was a touching scene, something Shero had never been able to experience himself. "I'm glad I found her, things... are looking a little brighter." shero said with a smile coming up on his face. He hugged Kia, and said his good byes to Kira, promissing to see her again and bring her something special from his journies.

Kia smiled as she watched the newly formed family walk back to the village. She looked at him as she raised a brow. “See what happens when you follow a star?” She took his hand within hers and looked to Flamie. “What do you think Flamie? Are you up to following a star for a while?” She smiled as she reached out with her free hand to stroke the white dragon. She grinned as she felt the dragons feelings and allowed some of her own to be passed to him. Kyra approached slowly, nudging Kia lightly in the leg. She turned to kneel and looked into the wolf’s eyes. Softly she shook her head as she kissed her friend lightly on the top of her head before petting her soft furry shoulder. Kyra turned and headed towards the Kira and the others.
Kia rose, standing before Shero. “Kyra is going to stay with Kira and watch over her. It was her wish. She will not join us on this journey.”

Flamie couldn't help but chuckle as he spread his wings wide. "Which star are we following then, Kia?" asked Flamie as he kneeled down for Kia and Shero. "For now Flamie, I think Kia shall be in charge of where we go." said Shero as he hugged Kia, and kissed her gently. Shero helped Kia up onto Flamie's back and pointed off into the distance. "To adventure Flamie!" said Shero. The loud laughter of Flamie as he flew off into the distance echoed through the lands.

Kia leaned back against Shero as the mighty dragon took to the skies. She had never flown before and the feel was amazing. She closed her eyes as she felt the wind wash over her. “Shero, this is amazing. It feels…like I’m totally free.” She folded her arms on Shero’s around her waist as she laid her head back against his shoulder. She could feel the large muscles of his broad chest and the feel of him was more amazing then the flight itself.

"Hmmm... let's head towards the dwarven lands. I haven't been out that way yet. What do you think?" Shero asked while they continued in their flight through the lands. The breeze was good and Kia's presence made the trip all the more comfortable. "I think I'll be fine where ever we go anywyas." Shero said as the sun crested over the mountains.
