The Void walked through the corridors of the tower toward the woman's cell. He had a proposition for her, seeing as how she was an Elemental. He walked up to the door of her cell, escorted by the orc captain who had beaten her the previous day and two other orc guards. One of the guards opened the door to her cell and The Void and the captain stepped in. "Well, now, have we had enough of the beatings?" he asked the woman, grinning a malicious grin.

Eavan rose and stood with her back against the wall. She glared at the captain then at the Void. She lifted her chin indignantly as she looked at the captain. “My grandmother hits harder than the captain here.” She grinned maliciously at the Orc.

"You little-" the captain said, starting forward. But The Void stopped him with a wave of his hand. The captain stopped immediately, nodded, and took his place back at The Void's side. "You have spirit.....unbreakable spirit, it seems. I could use someone like you. "I would like to help you learn to control your Elemental abilities, too. Doubltess you realized what it is you did back in my throne room. I would like to help teach you to control your abilities. All I ask in return is that you help me, as well."

Eavan tensed a little but stood firm in front of the captain. She shot him a playful glare as the Void stopped his forward movement. She turned her attention to the Void. Her gaze became less intense and more puzzled. “What makes you think that once I learn how to control it I won’t turn it on you and try to kill you again?” She narrowed her eyes as she looked closer at him. “Why should I trust you?”

The Void grinned at Eavan. "Simply because I take care of those in my employ. You'll be given just about anything you want, as well. So, what's your answer? Yes, or no? Keep in mind, if you say no.....You'll be left here with the captain all day every day until I decide you are no longer needed. Then, they'll be allowed to kill you."

Eavan looked thoughtfully at the Void then she smiled as she looked at the captain. “If I agree, will the captain be part of this training?” Eavan’s eyes narrowed as she glared at the captain. She returned her gaze to the Void as she took a deep breath. “I guess since you put it that way I have no choice but to agree.” Her demeanor changed as she thought more about her power. “You will teach me how to control this…power?”

A malicious grin split The Void's face as the woman asked if the captain would be a part of her training. "I believe I can arrange for him to be there while you're learning," he said,"And yes, I'll teach you how to control it. Don't forget, I was good friends with Maxwell Tyde, the Great Elemental of Water. I believe I can teach you the basics and let you experiment from there." Thalmor snapped his fingers and addressed one of the guards,"Get the woman some water, and show her to a room, and then lock her in it until I am ready to begin teaching her."

Eavan moved slowly toward the Void and the captain. “I look forward to this then.” She said as she placed a hand on the captain’s chest. “I really look forward to you joining for my training.” She grabbed the captain’s ear and twisted sharply. She turned her attention back to the Void and grinned as she moved away from the captain. Eavan returned to her spot against the wall as she looked at the two men, waiting for what would happen next.

The Void laughed and grinned at Eavan. "Very well, then. I look forward to our lessons. They should prove entertaining with the captain present," he said as a guard came up behind them. "My Lord and Sovereign, I am here to take the woman to her room as you requested," he said, bowing. "Take her!" The Void said, turning and leaving the cell and walking back to his throne room.

Eavan smiled as the guard appeared. She followed him unbound to a room that was nothing like she expected. The room was spacious and ornate. It looked more like the room of a lady than a prisoner. Eavan moved past the guard and began to look around. She heard him lock the door behind her but she didn’t care. She laid her hand upon the bed. It was soft and the satin sheets felt cool against her hand. She turned her attention to the room across from the bed. Her heart leapt as she saw the large tub.
Eavan ran quickly to the bathroom, dropping to the floor as she saw the tub. She turned the faucets and sighed as the water began to flow. Standing, she quickly stripped out of her grubby clothes and into the tub. She closed her eyes as she felt the water lap at her skin. Eavan washed quickly. Her hair was now free of the dried blood and mats as she rinsed the soap from it. Eavan leaned back against the tub and closed her eyes.

"Having fun?" a voice from the shadows behind Eavan said,"Don't get too comfortable. The Void might turn on you in an instant. He's done it to countless others and won't hesitate to do it to you." An illusion of Thalmor stepped out of the shadows, looking down at Eavan. "And if you're wondering why I'm here, he decided to take a nap."

Eavan startled at hearing the voice behind her. She turned and saw the ethereal form of Thalmor walking toward her. Eavan rose from the tub and walked right through him. She grabbed a towel and dried off. The water fell in droplets from her long strands onto her skin. She wrapped the towel around her and moved to sit on the bed.
“I am not taking him lightly Thalmor. I am just going to take advantage of the circumstances I find myself in.” She watched him and motioned for him to come closer. “What news have you for me?”

Thalmor's image moved over and sat down next to Eavan. "Well, I know he's going to tell you to kill the captain with water as your first lesson. And no, the orc won't just be standing there. He's going to have a large sword with him, and you'll have nothing but your water. You're going to need to learn how to use your power some before he decides to give you your first lesson, because he doesn't care if the captain kills you or not."

Eavan nodded but said nothing. She looked over at the open wardrobe. “He spares no expense to turn a girl’s head does he?” She rose and walked to pull out a pair of leather pants and cami. Dropping the towel, she pulled on the clothes as she looked back at Thalmor. “What do you suggest I do? The power is so knew to me. I don’t understand it at all.” She adjusted the cami and walked back to sit on the bed. “I can take the captain but it would be easier with a weapon.”

"He's not going to give you your first 'lesson' until tomorrow. That gives me time to teach you how to use it somewhat. But....you'll be up most of the night. You'll be tired for the fight, unless you happen to ahve enough time to sleep before then." Thalmor looked over at Eavan as she sat back down. "So, what do you say? Willing to give it a try, or do you want to take your chances going in blind?"

Eavan smiled at Thalmor. “I don’t like the way you say lesson but yes. I am ready. I do not require much sleep and am stronger than I’ve led them to believe.” She tapped her finger against her chin as she thought. “Thalmor. Are you sure this is safe for you to come to me?”

Thalmor laughed. "Nothing is truly safe here. And, to be honest, what we're doing is actually very risky. But, it's okay. Trust me, I've been taking control of myself for quite a while. I've learned how long The Void sleeps. So, we should be okay, so long as i don't lose track of time. "Now, speaking of which, he should be waking up soon. So, I'll be back when he goes to sleep tonight. If you're asleep then, I'll wake you up, all right? I have to go now." Without another word, Thalmor's image shimmered and disappeared....

Eavan smiled and nodded. “I’ll be here waiting for you.” She told him softly. Eavan watched as the image of Thalmor disappeared. She rubbed her hand lightly over where he had been and layed down on the bed. She stretched and shifted the pillow beneath her. The softness of the bed engulfed her and she felt sleep tugging at her once again.

Thalmor woke, once again in control of his body. He let out a sigh, glad to be able to move himelf for once, rather than The Void doing it for him. Then, he walked over to a shadows corner of the room and focused his power, becoming a part of the shadows himself. And then, the next thing he knew, he was in Eavan's room, himself again. As he regained his balance and bearings, he walked over to Eavan's bed, where she was sleeping, and reached down, taking hold of her shoulder, and shook her awake.

Eavan woke with a start as she felt a hand shaking her awake. She jumped to kneel on the bed as she looked into the Void’s eyes. She caught herself as she was about to swing her fist his way. Eavan leaned forward on her fists on the bed. She looked closely into the face before her. “Thalmor? But how?” She moved closer to him, sitting on the edge of the bed.
